I dont usually suffer from lag on here but that new orange ad is a nightmare! it seems if any ads have movement in them they cause big problems, cant we just have stationary pics lol?

yea m8 its happening on the snooker aswell. As soon as that orange ad comes on the whole thing is lagging. The ad goes and its fine. I am same, i just stopped playing cos of it as its so bad.

I tried snooker too, same thing, just didnt notice the ad. Just tried playing as guest on pool when orange ad not showing and no problem.

Glad it aint just me, I bin downloading and deleting software all evening lol

The advert is an animation, it has nothing to do with the game. If your comp isnt powerful enough to run the ad at full quality either reduce the quality to low, or switch off the animation!

As mentioned before, this isnt a problem with the site - its a users problem therefore its up to the user to fix!

And yes, despite being unable to play till IE7, i have tried waiting for the orange ad and i see zero difference, either on snooker or here.

no it is tht crappy advert. my computer was runnin fine then tht kool advert comes up n messes the game up for me

Dude.. i'm trying hard not to be patronising here. The ads are just flash animations or gifs.. The Orange ad is a flash animation, true, its more complex than most but thats got nothing to do with it.

Its simply not a funkypool issue!

Have you got your flash settings on low? Or set play animations to off?

Spinner - I spoke to loads of ppl, on snooker and on pool, all experiencing serious lag for the first time, so severe that they had to stop playing.

I know you say it can't be the ad - but it certainly happens when that one particular ad is running (I've reduced quality - but that only partly helps).

Maybe it's something else altogether, but whatever it is, it can't be coincidence that so many have it all at once.

totally agreed with ppl- the orange advert is by far the woirst ad ive have encountered on here so far, the lagg is propa bad....

bad lagg.... bad network.... bad overall in total!!

ID also like to kno why it is the only ruddy advert that is shown now!!!! what happened to the other adverts.... i only get tht crap orange advert which fks my game up!

The Orange ad will be removed (although it may take until Monday as no one in to sort it out over the weekend!).
