abolish the 3 ball rule. If you join a game, then u should play. best way to stop this is take at least 10 points off the leaving player. especially if they leave after youve taken your 1st shot. People dont create games so "muppets" can join that game just to see how the break ends up and then decide if they want to continue.

yeah force, but what really hacks me off is that i set up a game and some "muppet" will join me, wait for me to break and see that it (a): doesnt leave them an open shot, or (b) i pot a ball off the break, then leave.

if they dont want to play soeone with your rank status then let em leave

What is it that makes people take themselves so seriously that their rank and achievements on a pc game mean more to them than common manners and decency.

When I lose a game I always congratulate my opponent. If luck was involved, so what. We all sometimes have good luck, sometimes bad.

So why is it that some players can't bring themselves to simply say gg - and instead say "lucky whatever" and storm out the room in a tantrum.

I say this on this thread only because I notice that one of the worst offenders of this type of bad sportsmanship has also been accused of cheating with GB's here. I have knocked him out of 2 or 3 tournys and everytime it's the same old childish rubbish. I will not mention your name here paddy, because I think that would be unfair, but it sounds like I'm not the only one who's noticed how seriously you take all this.

As mentioned before...it's only an online pool game. Get a life.

Excellent post martin, and you're right - gg etc should be reserved for when people beat you, not when you win yourself!!!

But i agree with the numbers guy - anyone leaving a game should loose rank, however the reason for leaving is irrelevant. You leave, you pay, plain and simple...
