Further to all the posts above, the deadline was put in place the same as any fixture set. So any player signed after would need to wait until the next fixture set to start.

This has been the rules on pool for as long as i can remember, we have had several instances when a player has joined a clan after midnight on the Sunday and that player has to wait until next set of fixtures that are released to play. I had to do an earlier deadline for first set to get all lists and schedules completed.

I didn't expect uprising to release the 2 players but if they had i was willing to over look as a one off. Both captains were aware and both knew this was never likely to happen and it hasn't.

The moving of these players has caused a lot of extra work now for me which i will do to get leagues started. I have no preference to what clan any player plays for but what does bother me is that the players had 6 weeks to decide what clans they were playing for this season, yet players think it is ok to decide after a deadline which was public for almost a week to change. This has now resulted with two out of the three leagues that i had completed schedules for needing schedules redone. I don't think either of the players thought that it would mean 2 teams folding and what the knock on effect of that is.

The timing of it has also caused me another issue as i had decided that when team schedules were released i would also announce the other change that i was going to include this season, which was no movement of players and any player that left a clan would just need to wait till next season for playing again. This was going to be introduced as i was sick of all the petty squabbles that players leaving / joining caused last season. I tried to accommodate players by allowing them freedom of movement and then having to wait till next set to play yet time and time again when it happened there was argument upon argument for no reason. As i hadn't announced this (My own fault for not thinking we would have 48 hours of peace for me to arrange things) i will now run with the same rule that players can release themselves but then need to wait till next set to play. If there are any squabbles arguments regarding players moving this season, i will not think twice about posting and advising that the rule is implemented with immediate effect.

Keith my honest apologies to you mate. I'll admit that I was oblivious to the deadline and didn't even think to check. In my eyes it's pretty unlucky that I happened to sort this move out at 2am rather than 11pm, I had no idea about the deadline whatsoever. Had I known that the deadline was Midnight that night or had passed at all I wouldn't have started the conversation in the first place.

I have lost my best assistant for updating results / subs etc due to all the arguments last season and i did think to myself at the end of last season why am i bothering.

I have read through a selection of posts again above which have digs etc and if anyone is wondering why funkypool and clans are dying they just need to read the clan threads and the rubbish that some players choose to post which are clearly done to cause arguments. Which for me means on top of spending time updating everything so that you actually have clan league, i also get to spend further time moderating the threads, i have asked myself several times is it really all worth it and as it stands at the moment the answer is clearly..................no.

I will run this season in full but if there is not a marked improvement this season i can tell you now that it will be a new league runner that you will require as well as i am not wasting any more of my time that could be better spent elsewhere or actually playing a few games as opposed to updating / changing and getting accused of being biased etc.

Now i am off to update the league schedules again and i will post an update with them in due course. (Still trying to get started asap)

No bother mate i did speak to you last night and you were aware of the how and why. Players move, but again before the season starts we have a lot of excess baggage on the threads. It will get sorted and i will learn and if i do continue running the leagues i will just keep putting more and more barriers in place to stop it happening again which will in turn remove the supposed fun element of the clan leagues which i have tried to bring back by making FBL and SL competitive to more teams etc. but it seems impossible to actually achieve

Fair play to you Keith in the first place doing so much work, that some tend to forget goes on to run all these Leagues we all are allowed to be involved in..KUDOS.

Yeah fair play Keith, I don't forget mate as i run the league on snooker and i try and make it easier by making tables, golden cue etc automatic and change code at end of each season.
