A player who didnt play last season or is currently in a clan would be considered a free agent would they not?
I'd say anyone at all not registered with a team. Anything to bring players back, or new ones in!
No boys, as I said - the rule should explicitly be used to recruit free agents.

After taking an avid interest of this discussion page for some time,i think it would be a good idea to form a committee, to discuss and decide what's best for the leagues, and also combat problem as and when they arise, and maybe if they like all meet up in person and smoke bob hope from the old peace pipe if they like.
The ones I see who would benefit the site imp are:

Buckjam
Degeneration
Erigert (equal opportunities)
Fatmikee - the godfather of funky and somehow manages to run clans without telling players they actually play for him

lol, I like the idea. Think it would work out better as a ket party though!

These extra players can be any players who is not on a clan list currently, you can see from clan threads who is in each clan and I have had a few lists already so it should be easy to see that these players are adding something and not poached from others.
My main motivation for this increase is to allow certain players a chance of a clan game. blackcabman7 whilst not an elite player has no clan to play for. I am full and without some kind of dispensation cant take him. Its a shame to see a player who has been around for a good while not being able to get a clan game. These are the players we should be taking care of within this increase in team size imo. Also those new to the game who need a clan to get started. Its the same in football............grass roots. There has been talk of clans disapearing and maybe they will, but lets at least try and help out the new and older players alike.

My two potential recruits already wear Uprising pics and are unattached!
Im not saying that we want to lose these two players from the clan or site cause they cant get a game. Its just a shame that they will come into a clan that doesnt need extra quality. In an ideal world they would play for PDS or _huts24_ if you see my point

How many clans are willing to take players that are not much good tho? All the good players are already in clans and the few that aren't are not interested.

No probs, I'll get 2 different if you like? I was only going to hassle my real life friends to play again!! lol I can't see anyone else forcing them to play tbh! lol

I wanted for a while to have it decided on rank and each team has to have 2 players below a level but with all the resetting its impossible. It would rest squarely on the shoulders of captains to pick up new players and be honest as to their quality. So, equally impossible lol

I am fine as it seems to be a positive response that clans can sign extra players above their 16 as long as they are not poached from other clans on the basis they will have 3 teams for SL and FBL.
I am not going to restrict numbers as any new players added should be a positive thing and it is up to captains to keep players happy.
These players will be able to play in all competitions for the clan.

I'd lower my standards just for the sake of cover in one of the two throwaway leagues. Not many teams are up to 16 players anyway. And say for example (and I'm only presuming they'll say yes) I resigned spin_doctor and graftonspile - can you see anything negative coming from that? At the very worst it's a gamble, and at the best we may have new regular larkers!

Superb news! I just have to put on my persuading boots now!!

We have to welcome any extra players however we find them it is clear that some clans / captains will be better than others at finding them but hopefully more teams make it worth while.

Okay SO im only asking. Next season if there is no cap what stops a captain recruiting 25 of the best on the site? They will become free agents in the off season so can go anywhere and there is no way to stop that sort of recruitment. It would come down to common sense.........................
