Also. Dgen who has put a lot of work into the snooker site over the years has been reminding us all season how it would be the last. Fair play it might well be but lets not spend the season telling players this will be the last on pool wether we believe it to be or not. I for one hope that it runs a few seasons more and the current java issues ect can be fixed. Lets not scuttle the ship.

I also wanted to say that at no point would i ever moan about one teams superiority over the rest. I would like a more even balance of course but to have built a team to that standard is an achievement in its self. Uprising are there to be knocked off their perch and im sure they welcome the battle.
Damn right! It was great being the underdog and having most the league support us in our quest to topple Pro's. We even had a great relationship with Pro's throughout their dominance.
Regarding the rigid teams thing, now SL and FBL are 2 teams each, could you really be bothered with the amount of updates etc entering 3 teams per league would entail? I don't think 3 teams is viable anymore as even last season I left players like ritcho out of all fixtures so I could use him as a floating sub between teams.
I think on a declining site, the rules in place should be to encourage teams to keep 16 players active and interested. I can only see the participation numbers declining this season, as I don't see why it's vital to have that many players this season. Anyhoo, I don't want to bang on about that. Play the cards you're dealt with and all that!

They would still only be able to play for one team during the set of course, but they would named when the team list was submitted. It is unlikely anybodys best would be named as you expect them to be played from the start to best effect. 3 x 4 = 12 so we would have an extra on team team A and B and 2 to cover all three teams if there was an issue.

Hahaha. It would Faust wouldnt it. But to fill these two spots you might need to weaken another team to fill them. Thats a tad unfair. Dont get me wrong , i would understand those that decided to leave who evers clan and join a winning team but would then just leave others short. If the teams were increased maybe a rule that players who played last season and are in clans atm cannot be added for example as the two extra. Im not suggesting that Faust would poach for one minute bye the way. Just that some players might offer their services as there was space. The increase in space should be used to accomadate any new players on Funky. Not to redistribute who we have. If everyone is sensible it will work.

With 3 teams would it be feasible to allow the extras to be used as subs, but if used 3 times......

No, you've totally got the wrong end of the stick mate. My suggestion pre-season was that we're only allowed to sign the extra players on the condition they're not attached to another clan! When I suggested it, it was purely as a vehicle to drag more free agents into the leagues. My two potential recruits already wear Uprising pics and are unattached!

I think we both know that i wasnt really directing anything at you. But there are others that wouldnt think twice. Understandably tbf. But i for one would like to see whats best for the league opposed to one or two teams. If by allowing a couple of extra players more teams were able to field 3 teams in SL then all good i think.

Yeah long as no poaching happens for those two players then i'm happy, would be like stealing Seb and lets say for instance Scottyjr from FPD to join Uprising (As with Jamie, no accusations), just worried teams will grow weaker if poaching happens.
If no one poaches those extra players but free agents then it is a really good idea as more teams is always a plus

teams should have option for two teams also should they choose but with extra 2-3 players then three for Uprising/FPD or anyone who wants it is an option

After taking an avid interest of this discussion page for some time,i think it would be a good idea to form a committee, to discuss and decide what's best for the leagues, and also combat problem as and when they arise, and maybe if they like all meet up in person and smoke bob hope from the old peace pipe if they like.
The ones I see who would benefit the site imp are:

Buckjam
Degeneration
Erigert (equal opportunities)
Fatmikee - the godfather of funky and somehow manages to run clans without telling players they actually play for him

I agree with Zante, not with zac, for the simple reason he keeps banging on about his team being hard done by, when simple fact of the matter is, they didn't win a game

My main motivation for this increase is to allow certain players a chance of a clan game. blackcabman7 whilst not an elite player has no clan to play for. I am full and without some kind of dispensation cant take him. Its a shame to see a player who has been around for a good while not being able to get a clan game. These are the players we should be taking care of within this increase in team size imo. Also those new to the game who need a clan to get started. Its the same in football............grass roots. There has been talk of clans disapearing and maybe they will, but lets at least try and help out the new and older players alike.
