Maybe yeah but more teams is a positive right? not sure how many DFE have got and i hope Dee chooses two teams personally but Captains has had three weeks to sign for clans and in your own words won't take a weaker player so i welcome this change as allows weaker free agents to sign for clans they may not normally sign for.

With the demise of Snooker looming we need more players not less and i do hope stranded Snooker Players consider joining and playing in the Pool competitions.

See thats the point. You will only take quality players. Cabbie is one of the most reliable players on here. Never miss's a game. He's just not a brilliant player and he accepts that. You had relliability issues a couple of times which may or may not have cost you in FCL and FBL. You have an oppotunity to add a reliable player to your ranks but you wont because he might lose a few games which in turn means you might miss out on the FCL and FBL. Its the same result.

I am not having a pop. We have to take care of the players win or lose or the site will die. Then it wont matter what players you have as there will be no league.

Yeah the goal now is to keep leagues interesting and all players happy (robot or not), Just have to look at Snooker and put it into perspective, until this season where i was forced to change the league format, i had the same league for 5 years, and i wouldn't change the experience, the difference is players grew up, technology became more newer and people used phones more than computers. Snookers demise started i would say a year ago (before the java problems so i don't blame that for the demise but it was the final nail in the coffin).

People grow away from Funky but hopefully we are all in for the long haul and keep Pool as the most successful league of all time.

When League goes on Snooker, the site may go with it and would only be tournaments keeping it afloat. Pool is still fairly popular with the League so lets not ruin it

I respect what you're saying but my teams have always been based upon progression. I do and have taken on new players, virtually unknowns too along the way.

This next season (hoping all return and become active), my team can boast it's strongest ever lineup. Adding a player such as the one mentioned in previous posts would be detrimental to the team and it's ethos. I have noticed a steady improvement in the player which is always great to see, he needs to be in a team where he will be treated as a squad player and not just sit on the sidelines where I cannot ensure he'd be utilised.

That's where me and you differ this day and age but I too started from the bottom. So I've been there, done that.

I never expected you would except him into your team. But you can not dictate that all teams should stick to 16 when at 14 players you are not willing to accept the weaker ones. You cant have your cake and eat it. By all means wait for elite players to join you if thats your "ethos" but if none arrive dont moan about not having a full team.

Yep Ash i do respect your opinion, I'm the reverse as a player as i joined a Set of Champions straight away, on Snooker it was Hustlers who won first ever season and on Pool was The Untouchables. Both clans ran by two good mates of mine and still to this day i have a very good bond with them who are i_am_god and mich. Both made me feel at home and i won a clan title there which back then felt amazing as had clans like Wipeout, MVP and Top Dogs among others. I then went on to Captaining some of the best clans in the game (wouldn't say the best though but top 2 at the time) which are Dollars & Cents, Wipeout (2nd with nooby snooker players) and most recently Snooker Squad. I had a lot of success and now i feel i done it all what i can do realistically and i have nothing to prove so i'm more a fun based player now rather than one who goes for titles.

It is abit to request that no team can sign more players than 16 Ash when you are refusing players that actually want to join your clan.

What is even more annoying is that you refuse to accept blackcabman because he is not an amazing player, yet you yourself are the weakest link of your team. Why don't you remove yourself from your clan?

Hows the New Accounts Month Rule, still here? got a friend who wants to join DFE but needs to make an account, said if he has to wait a month he may not join.

With site in decline i'm hoping that rule is gone but respect decision if it remains.

Again its common sense. If someone wanted to change profiles and then join another clan it can be misused. If they can prove who they were before and not an existing clan player then all good as far as im concerned

You know what its like James. We all want the numbers to grow but the rules were put there as the system was abused without them. We want to encourage all players to play asap but when people exploit a loophole for their own gains it damages what your trying to help in the first place. Although they have enough to do maybe Keith has the last word on any special situations like that specific one.

true, no harm in asking though. i asked him thinking he had an account but then when he said he hadn't then i wondered the status of the month rule. If its still a factor then he won't join or play Pool and thats no loss for him. would be nice if it isn't a factor but if it is still a thing then thats fine, i will respect his decision and he won't play on Pool.

He isn't a new player but has been around the scene but doesn't play clans much so part of me fails to see how i'm trying to use a loophole to my advantage as there is no advantage if he joins and if he isn't allowed then will go back to real life without a second though.

Will admit hes rarely active and has been known to move clans so i am taking a calculated risk but one i'm prepared to take

He's pretty well known on snooker and doesn't play pool so I wouldn't imagine Keith would have a problem allowing it since it's clearly not a clan-hopper or somebody using a loop hole to exploit a rule that's there for a reason.

I suppose it's down to Keiths discretion.
