I think thats great. The FBL format will remain though eg 8 of each and 2 games of straight for each set of 4 players?
I was happy to leave format as it was but again am open to any other suggestions
I didnt fancy reducing the format length as it made it too similar to SL with just the straight included. At least over 8 frames the better players quality should show the proper winner

If propose changing it so the straight type actually has 4 frames... And of course keep it on score count not frame count. So 2 points for a match win and 1 for a draw and 0 for loss. So a team could win 8-0 in a match or draw 4-4 etc.

We have FCL which is like the premiership and the one everyone wants to win as it shows consistency. We have a knock out cup (fa cup). What about a champions league type affair. 4 groups of 4 teams. Top 2 at the end of 2 sets gos through to a knockout and the bottom two go into a different knockout (europa cup). Just ideas.

Very good idea .. And the groups would literally only last 1 or 2 fixture sets. But the problem is needing 16 teams exactly... You'd have to make sure we had 16 teams meaning limiting some and forcing some to have 3

I really like the FBL, however, obviously it's personal opinion, a lot of the better players seem to dislike the shorter fixtures.
As a new captain (on pool anyway) I'm easy with the leagues because for the first season I'm happy to see how it all goes.
I don't agree with getting rid of killer as despite the deadline day rush, I think killer is a brilliant game and many people enjoy it and for teams who don't fair too well in other leagues there's always a chance in these game types.

Yeah, I know Budweiser has recently texted nick so hoping its a good sign, Its worrying when someone close to a site disappears for months. On Angels my net was down for two weeks and people were concerned about me so i can't imagine the worry the staff has over nick and members included. First thing is hope nick is safe and then comes back to site even if its part time to try and sort out these issues.
I do hope he is okay.

It was broken James that's why they (JAVA) have constant updates. They might not have been broken when dealing with Funkypool and Funkysnooker mate but the fact people out there exploited and navigated their way through insecurities which they located they had to act. Hence the new adopted security parameters.
So yeah it was broke and will continue to remain so, the Critical patches are usually the most useful.
Java will forever be updated and the previous versions will expire and become obsolete....unfortunately. That's why we need Nick ASAP or the game re-written in HTML5 or C++, before it becomes inaccessible IMO.

Can't we play each team twice Home & Away but those selected in 1 cannot play in them both from their sides? (FCL) - Put more emphasis on the TEAM aspect.

wouldn't work because you'd need a full team of 16 and also need every player to be active.

last season were probably the tightest league from top to bottom, an underdog also won something, in any game or sport its not a necessity to try and put every team on an even keel, its just simply a case that the best team will win in the discipline that suits them, if uprisings got best tea, then so be it, its every other teams objective to knock them off the top , not find ways of balancing things out, suoer league is there as a competition that may suit more teams other than the top, fbl is a chance to play at your chosen type, and fcl is the best league in which the law of averages over 15 ames per playerdetermines that the best overall team should win, that's how it should be

Cant blame Uprising from continuing to sign the top players. But im puzzled why a top player thats looking for a team would join Uprising- surely you would want at least a little bit of challenge?

The FCL is a two horse race between Uprising and Phoenix. It's currently the biggest challenge on the game. Although now you guys are pretty much exclusively signing top players - that may change. Will be great seeing you join pocket dynamos when FPDs win something! :P
Cant blame Uprising from continuing to sign the top players. But im puzzled why a top player thats looking for a team would join Uprising- surely you would want at least a little bit of challenge?

Totally agree with ya Seb, it's like in PL Big-Time players signing for a top team knowing that they could well be on the bench!
Gotta love Stu's optimism that theres only Phoenix in the frame........I see it very differently

The players who join us are joining a team that was near the bottom of most leagues. Thats how it should be!

The FCL wasnt that close. Yes, the win/loss records were even, because both teams smashed everyone else. But the frame difference was about 100 points apart lol
