You are mistaken, life without Sturridge is showing, you wait until he is back, he will do the running that Balotelli won't do and then put it on a plate for him.

But let's not forget, Basel have lost to English opponents very often, beat Chelsea home and away last year, ManU a few years back, LFC back in 2002, so it is not an easy place to go.

I will not judge our performances until we get Studge back, and possibly Joe Allen, until then our midfield has a slight unbalance to it

But Balo last night was infuriating to watch, it wasn't until the 77th minute I saw him attempting to close people down, and that was only because he saw Lambert warming up.
I would be tempted to drop Balo for the next game and give Lambert a full 90 mins (to show Balo that Rogers can drop him)

We bought 3 defenders, 1 is proving a success, 1 is ok and the other is mediocre at best.
I said the best person that Brendan could sign would be a decent defensive coach!

Liverpool with Suarez in the team...second in the league. Liverpool without Suarez in the team....poor performances and nowhere (for now - early days). Fairly obvious where the problem lies mate lol.

Shambolic and that's the whole side not just Balotelli. The whole team don't look interested, last season every player played for each other. I don't blame one signing I blame the amount they've signed, no team spirit, morale, players more playing against each other vying for their position.

Balotelli has always been lazy but has moments of brilliance every now and again. Lambert never played only a sub, Lallana looks a complete different player than from his Southampton days. Markovic, the league does not suit his style of play, unlucky with final ball last night, really needs more match time. Lovren, I agree with mattywellie very good defender but had support in front. Manquillo not ready for Premier League or a big club just yet. Only player they've signed who I'm a little impressed with is Moreno, seems to have adapted quickly and fights for his team and the ball.

Too many signed at one given window, I think they will come good but not this season. I can see a bust up between Gerrard and Balotelli not far away.

Yeah i can see gerrard definitely soon enough getting fed up with the lack of passion from balotelli, the reason lallana is a different player is southampton was set up around him ... probably at liverpool is its still set up around gerrard, shame really. Should of focused on quality and not quantity ... remind anybody of tottenham ?

But we havent had studge! Studge earned us loads more points and scored important goals, Suarez usually scored the 2,3,4 in a game, rarely a winner.

Not saying that we do not miss him, but studge is more important to our team at the minute, balo does not make the runs that s.g likes to pick out.

But as everything, as a lfc fan i see the best in my team, every other fan doesn't.

WOW i cannot believe you have basically say sturridge was more important than suarez .. i know LFC fans are very disilusioned but this takes things to a whole new extreme..... there is a reason suarez sold for so much but nobody came in for sturridge.

You are right tho chappy stats say it all, strurridge 20 goals which he won't get you every season, suarez 31 goals and 12 assists and I bet most of them were for sturridges goals

I remember when suarez was banned for 8 games at the start of last season and Liverpool struggled like hell, sturridge managed to get a goal in 3 or 4 of the games to scrape 1-0 wins, he had a great season last season but he's inconsistent imo, you can't rely on him to keep getting you goals every game like you could with suarez

He was banned for 6 games I believe, 5 league and one cup.

We won 4 Drew one and lost one out of them 6 and Sturridge scored 6 goals only game he never scored in was the 1-0 loss to Southampton.

Wouldn't say we struggled really. Sturridge has the quality to lead the line, he will get the service he needs and having Balotelli just behind him should be what we need. We also need Joe Allen or Emre Can back to fitness, provide the defence with some cover take the pressure off the centre backs a bit.

Markovic is frustrating but has the quality once he settles in. Same with Balotelli only he worries me a bit more hopefully Sturridge coming back should help that.

Let's leave Chappy and Liverpool alone now

i think a 3-0 win for city mate i cant see how our defence can handle with that attack, same as chelsea and arsenal it goes to show the quality going forward they have compared to liverpool (not slating liverpool here).

i think arsenal will sneak a cheeky win against chelsea, just got a feeling 2-1 or something like that.

I dunno...City will have a hangover from the CL. I watched them against Roma and they looked a bit flat to me. Toure doesn't seem very fit (or he's being more lazy than usual). Reckon it'll be one of those funny games where you'll scrape a 1-0 or 2-1 win lol.

As for the Arsenal game....I reckon 3-0 to Chelsea with a Costa brace with a Fabregas goal thrown in. The Gunners defense just isn't good enough in my opinion.

your right it isn't but i don't think the chelsea defence is as resolute or im sure it won't be against the pace arsenal have going forward, chelsea play a much much higher game than they used to and a lot more free flowing attacking but that plays into arsenals hands with the pace on the counter, chelsea as soon as they played a big team in city really didnt look that special at all.
