-Celtic/Rangers (when they were both good)
ive been to both home and away games, good call 2 of the best

-Scouse Derby
farcical comment, fans sit together hardly in the same league as the above derby

-Madrid Derby have you been
I haven't been so will make no comment
however with the lack of interest in fans travelling to away games in Spain, but its a city derby I guess

-Sporting v Benfica have you been
no comment

-Manchester Derby
really Celtic, Rangers not a chance

-Moscow Derby
no comment

-Midlands Derby
not a chance
blues villa maybe a shout

I did say in this country
but these would be in anyone's top 10

Fenerbahce v. Galatasary massive

Boca Juniors v. River Plate massive

AS Roma v. Lazio Roma massive

Spanish derby this wins hand over fist
so much violence before during and after
pure hatred

FC Sevilla v. Real Betis

English Derbys most fierce

Millwall v West Ham

Sunderland v Newcastle

2 Sheffield's

So you are saying that unless I have been to games, then it is unfair to pass comment? I have sat in the city end against united, it was ferocious!

Anyways, clearly because you have the funds and lots of spare time, you can go to whatever games you wish to go to. For the rest of us, there is a nice warm bar, beer on tap and an atmosphere of your liking.

I dunno what a Manchester derby is like but I've been to old Trafford and until they score the atmosphere is terrible, you could hear a pin drop

Out of interest, how many away games do you do Craig? I used to (up until 2 years ago) pay £35+ to go and see Town play every home game. I would then do bewteen 12 and 16 away days aswell (costing £60+ just for travel and ticket) I have been to Yeovil and Carlisle on a Tuesday night for a crappy league cup game, taking a day off on the Tuesday and then getting back at 3am to be up for work at 5.30am on the Wednesday. I have done Donny away on a Tuesday night. I've done Bristol, Newcastle and Boro away (to name a few of the furthest). Paying £35+ a ticket to see a team who've been mid-table in the second tier of English football for the past 13 years or so.

So don't go on about true fans to me.

My comment was said tongue in cheek...hence the two jesty emoticons at the end of it. You always preach (excuse the pun) about how unfriendly the site is and then you go on some huge over-reaction like this...

Same as at the Emirates, mate. Went when Ipswich played them in the league cup semis a few years back. 8 or 9,000 Ipswich fans outsung 50,000 Arsenal fans; even when we went 3-0 down.

yup been to Portman road a good few times when it used to take best part of 6 hours to get there

Sunderland drew with Carlisle
tickets went on sale for the game I couldn't get one

so I went and watched Carlisle against Mansfiled to get a voucher so I could watch Sunderland play them in the replay

Sunderland won 1-0 on a Tuesday evening
so yea ive been

when Sunderland got relegated into the old 3rd division
I missed 3 games home and away all season

I went to Rochdale v Darlington to get vouchers for a Sunderland away game

been there seen it and done it

whats ur point

Sunderland have the 2nd best away following in the country to Man Utd

My point is exactly the same as yours.....there isn't one. You started the nonsensical posting about 'true fans'.

Agree with Matty on the fierce derbies of England 100%.

As for Rangers and Celtic derby, unless you have been to a game with them you can't really comment on it fully but it is one of the best atmospheres ever but it can be brutaly violent and thats why it is one if not the most fierce in the world. Which is quite sad considering its a great rivalry.

It's nice 2 see welbeck banging in a hatrick, 2 many people have written him off before he's had a proper chance up front

I was one of the people that wrote him off and im glad to see that i am wrong (doesn't happen very often), He has been fantastic for arsenal since he went there and looks like he is gelling perfectly with the forwards.... walcott still to come back also... imagine the pace.

Fair play Matty, at least you didn't say he would be nothing without Sanchez, cazorla, ozil, chamberline etc LOL. I think it was his first game for Arsenal where he chipped the keeper and hit the post then scholes said that's why val gaal got rid of him, what a tool that was just pure unlucky, he's probs played half a dozen games as striker for united so his goal scoring record is bound to be poor. It's only fair to judge him after he's had a full season as striker imo.
