Di Maria didn't want to leave Real Madrid though...only sold him because of the price received and because they signed Kroos and James. United have played 4, scored twice and conceded 7....all against lowly opposition (no offense to Swansea, Sunderland, Burnley or MK Dons)....tell me how winning domestic titles and cups and qualifying for the CL league every season isn't more appealing than struggling to finish in the top 7 and being the laughing stock of football? Be lucky to see European football again in the next 3 or 4 years, let alone for next season!

Daley Blind were voted Player of the Season in the Eridivisie last season.
Our defence looked shaky still but Di Maria looked pretty sharp, with a few more training sessions or matches getting to know each others games then looks promising.

Give them time, Blind will be a quality addition but still in dire need for some stringent defenders. (possibly Michael Hinterreger) Heard Luc Castaignos could be another striker in to replace Welbeck too.

Good draw for united that, thought they were gonna lose. Feel sorry for Burnley though, should have won.

Cracking result for us today knew it would be a close game they dominated the game but a wonder goal from diouf and quality defending again got us the win. Mark Hughes knows how to get big results.

Swansea are looking a cracking team again. Routledge, Dyer and Sigurdsson just run the show for them. Play great football too. Chelsea look awesome. Costa and Fabregas are signings of the season so far. Very good win for Pool yesterday...there are goals after Suarez. Sterling could make himself a very big player on the world stage! Leicester look decent value too. Fully deserved the draw at least yesterday. Played two of the top 6 teams and haven't looked scared or over-awed at all!

I reckon he's going to Real Madrid...He did tweet over the weekend saying about completining his dream move to RM before deleting shortly after. I personally can't see United signing 4/5 players. Maybe one or two.

The main problem with United, in my opinion, are the centre backs. Lost Vidic, Ferdinand and Evra and they've been replaced with Jones and Evans? Got no leaders at the back...so need a high profile and decent centre back in to command the line. Also need to reinstate the winning mentatility that SAF had with them. Would've thought the decent pre-season wins would've done that but they seem to lack it in competitive matches.

I wonder what the odds are for Van Gaal to be sacked/leave and SAF to make a return...

SAF will never make a return.

The pre season was trouble because it wasn't taken for what it actually is, winning means nothing and it's harder to see what needs improvement when you win. This I'd what happened because LVG thought he fidnt need more when he actually does. I'd expect a few, but 4-5 more would rival Liverpool who've been doomed to fail, you can't want that many in because you won't get the top four will you?
