They can keep Guarin, useless!
I'd prefer Lucas Silva or Casemiro tbh
Casemiro is already on loan at Porto
Fair point but we need both, we need solidarity but youth with a lot of flair.
Bid made for Freddy Guarin, Di Maria & Cuadrado -
Read somewhere that 3 Argentinians possibly to be purchased, Rojo, Di Maria & Nicolas Gaitan.
Reus and Muller were never bid for -

United are paying Nani 120k per week to play for Sporting Lisbon.
Liverpool will be paying 90k for Balotelli to play for them.
I think we can all see who is getting ripped off here.
Bargain if he performs as he can, can't see Sturridge being enthralled with it tbh though.
Hope he doesn't cause much unrest as he likes to fight own players in training, seems a little bizarre how was 'categorically' NOT JOINING but now Cavani and Falcao not interested they revert to a troublesome folk.
Just got rid of Jaws now replacing with Bam Bam - will strop and tantrum when don't get own way. Way to go, headlines should be about the TEAM not an individual.
Wants 90k a week after tax - LOL - extortionate amount.

Both Reus and Muller rejected United's big money offer. Balotelli is a more mature player now with his time at AC. I would rather have him at 90k a week than Rooney at 300K a week. Rooney strops constantly and United give in to his demands by bumping up his pay. Way to set an example of extortionate fee's with someone who likes to spend his spare with granny escorts.
Balotelli is much better fitted to Liverpool than Cavani or Falcao. To sign them would require a lot of adjustment and I think they are likely to upset the flow. If you listen to those who watch Italian football week in week out and the management around Mario, they've been very impressed since he moved. I don't see how Sturridge wouldn't be happy with the move, it means he has a partner up top and less pressure on him.

NO such offers were made...conclusively denied by MAN UTD! - What a load of crap, Balotelli is more mature - yeah right!
Till he gets subbed or the ball taken off him in training. Just what Liverpool need, some more trash - Would be saying the exact opposite if he went Arsenal. So predictable, great when it suits Liverpool!
Very good player, not what Liverpool need, even SSNHQ comparing him to Sturridge, will go down well with him NOT - Sturridge only scored his amount due to jaws, Balotelli is self righteous and 100% self centered so it will be one or the other on the pitch.

Denied because it would be damaging the reputation of the club. You want to believe that you aren't affected by no CL, you yourself said you had bid for Reus and Muller said he rejected you so I don't think you have a leg to stand on. Juve have said Vidal will only go to United if he says he wants to go, and I think it would've been in the media.
Well he hit the ground running in Milan, and still had a decent return in a team as bad as United last season. He'll be told what is expected of him in personal terms, there won't be an issue and he is a similar type to Sturridge with plenty of CL and International experience. He was a striker that could've worked for Arsenal, they need a striker too. I've been impressed with him and AC and I'm happy for him to join at a bargain price.
Saying Sturridge only scored because of Suarez is one of the most biased opinions. Sturridge scored when Suarez wasn't playing, you do come out with done ridiculous stuff but that is near the top. Balotelli is certainly more proven than the players United have signed. Why not take a lead out of your own book and give him your magical 3 month settling period. He's more of a role model than Rooney, Giggs, Keane, Cantona, etc. but you agent acknowledged that. In fact you just refer to other players derogatorily, how mature.

Looks like United are getting increasingly desperate now...
Leaked to the press by themselves they are going for Reus, Hummels Muller, when all 3 laughed them off United are denying anything to do with it despite the players themselves claiming it.
Vidal has gave no indication whatsoever of wanting to join United, in fact on the contrary came out and said he was happy at United.
Benatia has apparently told them he doesn't want to join a club without CL football and is now favouring a move to Bayern.
My guess is next United will put in another overpriced bid in for Cuadrado, and probably get knocked back by him to go join someone else too.
Latest news is United are after Khedira and Alonso.
Probably leaked by the club again to show their fans they are still being ambitious, but Alonso would never go to United, plus the fact he signed a new deal last winter... just not going to happen.
Why would Khedira turn down other offers like Arsenal PSG Chelsea to go join a 7th placed team with no Champions league?
Di Maria favours a move to PSG and it looks like Falcao could go the other way...
Oh how the mighty have fallen.
May I suggest Ash that your ridiculous bitterness is towards the fact that the top 4 from last season have strengthened and United have probably weakened... and you are a bit jealous.
Remember United fans calling Liverpool fans delusional, now your time has come to fill those shoes... enjoy.

Moham£d $alah, ju$t 7 month$ aft£r $igning for Ch£l$ki for obviou$ footballing r£a$on$ a$ h£ lik£$ to warm the b£nch up, could now b£ on hi$ way to joining $und£rland.
Maybe Sunderland got a bit bored of waiting for Borini to make his mind up, but either way Salah is a decent player and will do a good job for whoever he plays for.

a born finisher whens he ever been top scorer darren bent had 3 injuries and scored more goals the him spud a finisher lmao
cke1982 try to put all your posts into one more concise post
Rooney really isn't a midfielder, he's a born and bred finisher but also has the ability to pick out great passes. I think he's much better played upfront but supporting a player like Van Persie/Cavani as opposed to being played at the top of midfield without having the ability to press forward and attack the defenders.
City to destroy Newcastle is a tough call. I think Pardew has finally been given the funds by Ashley to invest and i think he's invested well in players that fit the squad ethic they have there. If he can get those players to gel together, they could be a really strong side!

coutinho shocking today sterling other then goal did very little henderson man of the match clyne sounthamtons man of the match southampton unlucky not to get a draw
Apart from the great pass from Henderson (Harry) to Raheem Sterling and the fine finish, Countinho looked quite sharp and class in 1st half, Liverpool have been nothing but ordinary. The longer it carries on like this, the more Southampton will be back in the match, only a matter of time.
Pelle for them has done nothing, Tadic looks quite bright plus Schneiderlin looks very comfortable. They should replace pelle asap with another Striker, someone who can link the play more with Tadic.
GET IN YOU BEAUTY 1-1!!! CLYNE!!!
Southampton deserved a draw at the least - Not impressed with Liverpool apart from their first goal. Unlucky Shane Long with the header near the end, cracking save by Mignolet from Schneiderlin though beforehand.

johnson absolute no ethic in tracking back for southamptons goal he walks back instead of getting back and blocking or getting a tackle in shocking
Very nervy performance but we held on, the defence learned from their goal to stop it the second time where last season it might've cracked and conceded a few.
First half we limited them well whilst looking a threat, it wasn't the rip roaring attack we had last season but it's done it's job and is an improvement. Second half we didn't create so much, though we did have a bit of an edge on the counter which Southampton needed a bit more of to get another goal.
Very impressive debut from Tadic, Schneiderlin woke up after we took the lead and looked a good performer. Sturridge is the natural finisher who will be our most important player, like I said. Sterling superb as always with Henderson and Coutinho having a decent game. Defence wasn't too bad, It looks like it could come together nicely but needs to improve. Lambert coming on made the difference, very well done Brendan, he won the second phase ball which lead to the winner which is exactly the sort of thing we need him to do. Then we dug in deep and didn't let them score. Great save by Mignolet, awful header afterwards even though it was a foul on Johnson.
3 points from a game we lost last season. Need another striker though I feel, someone to give that spark to the crowd. With a confident crowd, the players will grow confidence.

So United go from the success of Ferguson, to finishing 7th not bringing the required players in and having another invincible record of theirs lost and they haven't gone downhill? They haven't shown signs of improvement of last season other than pre-season which means nothing more than fitness of the teams. They can't be on an uphill path until they improve, and they haven't improved from last season so far.
I didn't say Liverpool would win anything, so please keep to the truth and don't make things up. Please tell me how based on their performance against Swansea, that they're going to challenge for the top 4. If you actually read what I said, you'd understand that. I expect them to reinforce and improve, but if they don't then they won't get near CL football. Unless you think their performance on Friday was worthy of a CL place?
Yes, and it's a fairly obvious fact. The team is improved, but there's a Suarez shaped hole. One player doesn't make the team, and we have a fairly good record of replacing players. Torres = Carroll + Suarez. Yeah, Carroll wasn't the big success his price tag suggested but he came up with some important goals for us. Would you rather have him and Suarez or Torres though?
no one knew how to play carroll till it was half way threw the season the lad had 2 big a price on his head cause of fat ashley rodgers gave him no chance same as martin kelly who is much better then flanno and johnson

easy cause no suarez his goals will be a big miss could of been bottom half with out them
CL has never hindered a title challenge before, when has a team won the league without CL football? It's only an hindrance on a small squad, whereas all the CL teams have a big squad.
I can't see how United can be considered for the title and Liverpool wrote off for the top 4 when Liverpool are in a much better position

why wont lambert not score 20 he scored a fair few at southampton and never played all time if given a chance he could but hell only be a sub
man utd need to rebuild im sure they will
but to right them off after one game is silly
Liverpool didn't exactly win easily did they
Arsenal didn't
Man City didn't
its one game, yes id agree they have problems, they need 3 or 4 top players costing around £30 mil each
and without RVP im sure any team will struggle
pre season means nothing, with the demands of CL trust me teams will be found out big time
a question zante, at this moment in time can you see Stirling and Sturidge starting all CL and PL games
if one gets injured which they will playing at least 2 games per week when CL starts
you've got no cover, Ricky Lambert wont score you 20 goals this season
Arsenal is a team to watch this season for that im sure
no one seems to rate them
lets see Chelsea tonight
then let the season really begin in 2 weeks

i dont like rotating why change a winning team but i understand why they do it but think this could cost us silverware
I think once Markovic is fully fit, he will be the perfect rotation for Sterling, and we still need another marquee signing up top.
It would be nice to think of a Falcao or Cavani, but I am not holding my breath!
Bring in a striker of quality, then I can see us keeping with the top 4 challenge, as I realistically still do not see us winning the league yet (no matter what David James says!), keeping in the top 4 has to be our target, and for that to happen, someone else cannot be in the top 4, and that seems to be United.
As you said craig, arsenal, liverpool and city didnt play well, but they all ground out that victory, united didnt play well and lost.
It seems that the grit and determination which was such a key factor over years at the manchester united, has been lost. Cast your mind back to 1999, when trailing by a goal for most of the game, scored 2 in injury time to win. Would you bank on this team to do the same? Not from what I saw on saturday.
It is going to take time for this united squad to go back to its potential, lets just hope that liverpool catch them, and overtake them in terms of league trophies first

city fans sang it at newcastle
I don't know if any of you were watching the game last night, but about 10 minutes into the game, all the Chelsea fan started chanting:
Steve Gerrard Gerrard, he slipped on his (and I am sure you know the rest )
Well whilst that chant was going on, Robbie Fowler tweeted:
Chelsea fans singing about liverpools Stevie G again... You'd think he was the only player that's ever slipped..
Followed with a picture of John Terry's slip at the champs league final!
Love it, class banter from Fowler

I don't see how Sturridge wouldn't be happy with the move, it means he has a partner up top and less pressure on him.
dpends if ballos stays in bo had no striker in box all game against saints he had allen in better position then sturidge
dont think ballotelli is as good as falcao or cavani but hes a good addition if he gets service and plays in right position

Very good player, not what Liverpool need, even SSNHQ comparing him to Sturridge, will go down well with him NOT - Sturridge only scored his amount due to jaws, Balotelli is self righteous and 100% self centered so it will be one or the other on the pitch.
better then spud and cheaper

Oh and in non United related news...
