Cavani's odds shortening as Liverpool close in on a £50 million deal..Alex Song reportedly on his way from barca for a meagre 8mill.

I won't say no to those if it happens.

Can't believe Song would only cost £8mill. I think he's a quality player!!....wonder how Cavani would cope in the Prem..

love the look of this
had to put it up

18th Stoke City

19th West Ham

20th Newcastle

LOL - Love the 18th spot too!!!

Pffffft it won't stay like that we were poor in our first game, come next week sparky will get on at the players expect a big performance Moses is a quality signing for us him arnie bojan diouf odemwingie crouch Ireland and Adam that's some attacking quality there good too see with a team that used to rely on the defence.

As for united they will struggle with the defence they have got can't think of a team in the prem with a worse defence to be honest jones and smalling are robbing a living how they were picked for the World Cup squad is beyond me

Still 37 matches to be proven correct with predictions, SCFCwill lose matches when their defenders are suspended, what are the odds on who's first? Shawcross or Huth hmmmm!

We have depth with Wilson Cameron muniesa and texiera all play centre back but huth and shawcross are both very strong centre halves man united must be kicking them selves getting rid of shawcross

Yeah bet they were gutted to only replace him with the likes of Nemanja Vidic, Jaap Stam, Rio Ferdinand, Jonny Evans, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling - All 1000 times better than Shawcross.

They must have been really devastated. Marc Muniesa is a good player.

As for United I'm sure they will bring in 2 or 3 defenders, starting with Rojo and Benatia.

First three you have a point, but Evans, Jones and, by far the worst player mentioned on this page, Smalling? I'd take Shawcross over those three any day of the week.

They should be kicking themselves about Pogba, released him after 3 years with the club and 2 years later he has a £60 million price tag on him and a market value of £40 million. Yet you still have a hole in your midfield that he could fill.

I'll wait till there is something concrete in any of these transfer rumours, but I trust Rodgers judgement. He's lead us back to CL, and he can carry on his good work with the one or two signings he has left to do.

Man united have made so many mistakes, soon as fergie retired they were always set to go on downward spiral and i for 1 love it only club i hate more than them is Arsenal (only cause of whinger)

No one is scared of playing them now as Swansea proved on Saturday going to old trafford most teams lost before they even kicked a ball cause they feared United no longer, long may it continue

I agree with most you've said just would add to the ending ...YET!

Stoke City will not be the same dreaded force without Pulis, who knows maybe your players might lose on purpose to get Hughsey the chop lol. Or failing that they will lose any how, I think their time in the TOP league is due it's end and that's why I tip and predict to be relegated this season.

Funny you've mentioned Swansea (2011), they were promoted after Stoke (2008) and are a more a decent team even with 3 years difference. Leicester City have signed some quality and have more a balanced squad that SCFC so do Burnley. Hughes will perform exactly the same as he did with QPR and I for one will laugh when they are literally holding up the Premier League table.

Think Newcastle played really well yesterday and thought they dominated all if not most of the second half and some of the first half. City didn't deserve the second goal but that happens sometimes. I was out today and heard a Newcastle fan (had the shirt on) saying Newcastle were going to get relegated this season, i really wanted to butt in and say something but just came to the conclusion he has no brain or he had been drinking

I can't say who will be relegated this season but i will put a bet on Newcastle, Sunderland and Stoke staying up.

United have a lot of work to do if they want to have any chance at the title this season or even breaking into the top four. You can give all "your" predictions on signing if you want but that is all they are in reality and some of the players you have named over the past few days will not sign at all, can't blame them under the circumstances.

I don't know if any of you were watching the game last night, but about 10 minutes into the game, all the Chelsea fan started chanting:

Steve Gerrard Gerrard, he slipped on his (and I am sure you know the rest )

Well whilst that chant was going on, Robbie Fowler tweeted:

Chelsea fans singing about liverpools Stevie G again... You'd think he was the only player that's ever slipped..

Followed with a picture of John Terry's slip at the champs league final!

Love it, class banter from Fowler
