Can I just get this straight a moment. Was there only 5 games played but the 1 frame counted as 2 points, 1 for each league?

If so as co captain I would never have agreed to him playing the games like that. I may be getting the wrong end of the stick here so if been could please pm with the details.

Regarding beens word, I have no reason to doubt him as he as always been a stand up guy to me.

I am sure we can sort this out one way or another, like adults, and still remain on good terms with each other. I can't say much more until I fully understand what happened.

Yes, you have it straight, that's what we agreed to do. Not trying to get smart, but I think it's more something a player needs to agree to, not a captain.

That last part, of course we can act like adults, remain on good terms. I've messaged chris requesting a ruling, whatever he decides is fine, we'll go with it. I must agree with others though, that had the result been the other way around so far (and he hadn't rage quit), there wouldn't be any issue as to whether the results stand in both leagues or not.

Ultimately it falls down to the player to decide how he wants to play, if he agreed to it then it should stand else the integrity of mutually agreeing things becomes lost and things can become twisted (like agreeing to a 30 second shot clock, then going back on your word because you lost badly and want the game replayed).

A captain can't have any say in how the players plays, save for removing him from any fixtures before he does so. Once a match begins it is up to the players in the match, not any captain.

had nothing to do with captains i didnt know either it was all down to the players .. i would of agreed ... but then again i would agree if he was 5-0 down swell not sure phoenix storm would .. in fact i know they wouldn't.

Oh the drama.

That is utter codswallop. I would have said they shouldn't have played like it and the points are void. Please don't confuse me with someone who would put unscrupulous play above good honest play.

I am not calling anyone dishonest, and like stated above I DO believe been 100%. If that's what they agreed to play then I don't see what I can do about it, but rest assured, if obnoxious had said that's how he was going to play it he would have been subbed out. It was only suggested he play both matches to save the hassle, obviously that is not the outcome.
Who in their right mind would count 1 frame as 2 different points. 9 points in 5 frames is insane. He could have played the first set and lost them 5 - 0 but there was always the chance in the second set of 4 games that he could have found some form or been had some bad luck resulting in a 4 - 0 win. By playing 5 games for both sets eliminates that possibility.

What ever Chris decides I personally will agree with. There will not be another instance of this as no player from phoenix will be asked to play 2 matches back to back from now on.

Hi Joe, as you know I would rather be an honest loser than a cheating winner. I didn't know much about obnoxious to be honest. If he was a new player he may have agreed to play that way as he didn't know any better, I don't know why it was suggested at all to be honest.
It is yet another unfortunate circumstance on a site plagued with arguments and distrust.

I'm not questioning beenjammin integrity just we have no proof this were agreed, if so then happens to be the most ludicrous suggestion and had me or shadwell been made aware then this would never have happened.

All well and good saying if agreed by players it's fine, no it's not. Rules and formats are there for a reason.

It's like saying United vs Chelsea premier match on Saturday but Fa Cup final on the following Wednesday. You know what sod Wednesday we shall play both on Saturday instead. Wrong....both same teams yes. DIFFERENT Competitions.

But no rules have been broken so why not wait for Chris to comment, both teams want this sorted but the example you have given doesn't even count for this situation mate. If both players agreed then this is something the league need to factor in etc! You guys agree no need to go on about it - it's happened so let's wait!

I do not doubt that it was agreed in any way, shape or form. I have no reason to dispute that it was agreed, I just want to know why it was suggested and why it was agreed.

If either player didn't have the time to play both matches then only one should have been played. been is a great player so to agree to count points for both matches against him would either be madness or a show of bravado.
