no, what you put is an opinion because that is what you see (subjective). No system is perfect, therefore all have bad points. No logical system is completely dysfunctional, therefore all have good points.

How about defaults? (in a close match)

A one-sided default skews the overall reflection (6-0 could easily alter the fixtures outcome more so than any of the other games did, where 6-0 is the least likely score to get)

Using this system, the default doesn't skew the outcome as much and is exactly the same weighting as the other games.

In a game where frames are counted there are 44 frames at stake whereas there are 16 points in your 2 points for a win situation so a 2-0 has exactly the same effect as a 6-0.
Where frames are counted though the default panel has a lot of different options as regards scorelines making a fairer scoreline a lot more achievable.

There are 40 frames, but if you added the extra frames to straight to even up all types then it's 48 frames/points (either 6 frames or 3 frames worth 2 points each). Most games will cause a change of less than 6 (3-3 = no change, 4-2 = change of 2, 5-1 = change of 4. 6-0 = change of 6). Very few matches will be 6-0, so all will have a smaller effect. Whereas that one-sided default would cause a change bigger than the games actually played. Therefore 1 default match has had a bigger impact than 1 played match (and it is potentially rewarding to go for a default).

In the alternative system, the game is either a change of 2 (a win-loss) or no change (draw-draw). A one-sided default will end up 2-0, so will have the same impact as one game played (so the reward for going for a default is reduced, as the impact will be no bigger than a game played).

Defaults are subjective, and most will have some varying opinion - though most will agree on an outcome (Having witnessed this myself on a defaults panel). It's much easier and fairer to award a default in the new system

When teams submit team sheets or make enquiries could you please keep all communication to the same message until that message exchange is full?

Currently (haven't had a chance to check with the other runners) I'm getting everyone starting a new message every time they want to get in touch and it's getting incredibly hectic on this end.

I know it's a slight hassle but it would make things much easier for us and remove the likelihood of mistakes.

Straight seems a bit light in the cup, all the frames for the other games have been doubled but only 2 straight?

How about 2 to start with and only a 3rd frame if 1-1, 2-0 means game over. Straight should have an actual winner I feel. (2 points per frame still)
