dont agree with it, if u can get a draw in other types u should get it in straight too. Maybe i would have liked 4 frames of straight, but think 2 frames is good considering the FBL format is short

I can see where you are coming from but, a game of straight takes a little longer and more effort IMO. Achieving a 30+ run in the 1st frame followed by a similar run from your opponent for wow whoopy-doo 1-1 is rather pointless tbh. That's why I think there should be an eventual winner mate.

Other game types take less effort sometimes and a draw seems a more suitable result, just not for straight for me. Say tinie for example gets 70+ run and opp scores 28 and wins their frame, should 1-1 suffice? Not IMO. Play till a winners been determined.

Does the rule about having to have an account over (is it?) 2 months old still apply?

Sorry, thought it was 2 months for some reason. Just asking as a couple of TFS players have played matches and their accounts were made this month. But think they were free agents so question answered that steve

For now (to avoid clutter and because the cup relates too all three leagues) any of the league subs/swaps and results threads should be used.

However, anything cup related should be clearly marked with something appropriate - i.e. CUP

Yep, we made the change for the FCL last season so carried it over to the FBL for this season.

All the other game types are lengthened for this though so 4 would be a lot better or 3.
If you break and your opponent smashes the pack first frame and gets 35 then you can't win the match.
You're saying you have to be able to get a draw to be like the other game types well in the other game types you can lose 4 frames in 8 ball and UK, 5 frames in 9 ball and the super league games and 7 frames in the 2 FCL games and still get 2 points for a win!
In straight you can't lose 1 frame and win the match

I'd be happy for the straight frames to be increased to 4 if this can be decided upon ASAP. Seems to be a few posts in favour and it does make sense with the other types being lengthened too.

Would have to be a decision that is made very quickly with fixtures already being released though.

I could take a frame off tinie or sam but would be 1 in every 10 we played so me getting a 1-1 from that would be too much down to luck 4 frames would be fairer to get a true reflection of the players and there is only 1 straight game in the match so the players in them are gonna be people that enjoy it.

4 frames much better than 2. Although it decreases the chance that luck decides a match, if two below average players come up against each other in straight they're gonna be sat there for over an hour.

Okay, one change will be made.

The straight frames in the straight game will be increased too 4 frames instead of 2.

This change is only for the Grand Slam Cup and not for the FBL.
