I couldn't care about any default information or points, some are better than none and we wont get to that stage. It's called pushing and trying that little bit harder, like having a baby here well dealing with some tbh. (not aimed at your Fran i actually respect you).

TBH none of the posts are for default purposes, it's called just following up and ensuring all matches get played which we have a great record in and everyone be up to date and there be total transparency.

IF we ever face a default situation I know for a fact I wont be disappointed only in the opposition but will look closer at home and try to rectify what went wrong. Called learning from mistakes, too easy to blame others.

Players/People outside of Phoenix Storm can see and interpret however they like, couldn't careless (in Solskjaers words). We all know within the team what we are doing and will happily continue with it. Posts or Not, the matches get played, maybe others who do have defaults could borrow a few pages form the Phoenix Storm book.

No ur getting me wrong...im not saying you are at fault if defaults happen...u are playing FE now too same as PRO ..i posted my thread i hope all messages are sent etc already...cause you me and everyone know it's gonna be tough to get games completed..if u can do your teams well done..it is not fair on TFS for one..so it might affect your teams progress in the league if they fail to play games and use lose points..therefore lose pos in the league over bonuses etc.

eagles need looking at..they not helping themselves..yes frog and paul have pc issues..but the team/(squad) are not trying bar one or 2 players

I'm sure they will be fine, I think some teams send their post and wait for the postman who's on holiday to post it, instead of actually following up things.

IF no reply then they got options, sub out their own player, after all a team game or get a sub from others. Maybe even speak with opposition players no harm in communicating just cant make the subs for them.

I agree it's not on and doesn't look good but im sure all will be fine.

if PRO lose the league by 15 20 points..that was possible to gain v eagles..who do we blame..the runners? the points system,? ourselves?

but with unhelpful opponents( they are the eg) not much we can do..but still don't get default points we a permitted..

Pirate_steve posted he would like ideas on how to fix the default system in place...please by all means if you have one post it, so it satisfies all teams in the league.

Isnt the default system:

Max 10 points

If only 1 team made an effort then award 10-0
If 50/50 - award 5-5

(depending on what information and actual effort made)

Its plain to see eagles are not doing much to get games played , TFS has 3 unplayed games against them last set and that's a lot of points that we couldn't gain . Is it all clans problem if they have pc problems ? No .

In my view they shouldn't be aloud to rack up defaults . Ash your thinking just about this set your in not about previous sets that's effect this league .

Its the whole picture u got to look . Why should a clan lose points by another clan not bothering .

And yet here I was being slated by a certain player for saying that FE needed looking at and the league runners need to do something about them because of the amount of games that go unplayed and the difficulty in getting any form of response from them. I know Sam and Paul have computer problems at the moment, but surely they should appoint someone VC who will actually help out. There's probably one maybe two players on the team who will actually try and get games done.

Wow, how about we all return to the topic at hand, has anyone got any ideas on how defaults could be dealt with?


I personally think that a team should be allowed a max of 3 defaults per set, with squad size being 16 players, and 8 of those used per set, that should (in theory) leave 8 players as subs, to have 1 default means that 9 players could not play a game, to have 3 defaults means that 11 players out 16 were not available to play a game, which should be punished.

I am not getting at FE, i know Sam and Paul have had it hard, it is not their fault, but with the defaults not awarding teams an accurate representation of points gained, then something needs to be sorted with it.

The only problem with defaults, is that no matter what the score is, someone will end up complaining, whether it be the team awarded the points (as they feel that they should have got more), or the opponents, (as they feel they were awarded too much).

So unless the default panel consisted of a player from each team, apart from the teams in question over the default, then they all give a score that they feel the game would have been, then take the average? But only if both sides made an effort to play. Otherwise pros would put their feet up all season :P

How would that sound?
Example, I default against _maverick_, we both made an effort to play, the average would probably be a 8-7 or 9-6 to mav...

and another playing the same team could receive 36 points

again if you got 8 defaults
the average score worked 8 x 0 = 0
to both teams, that also cant be right

if a team works hard to play fixtures and send in proof and enough of it, it should be acknowledged
it was acknowledged our in our default that we did try everything because we received points the other team received zero points

and one default should be the same as any other

the problem with the old system, it was biased and has been proved over and over again

if you give 4 out of 15 for a team that tried every way possible to play games that's fine

then dock the remaining 11points off the team at fault
then they will make sure games get played and sign more active players

i think the old system, with the right people doing them was good

when i did faults i did the following

1) i would look at evidence submitted
2) i would then check both threads

independently make a decision with all my findings

i would then award points on the following
a) activity
b) offline messages
c) threads
d) timing of subs and swaps

i dont think anyone would disagree with how i did them

the problem was if evidence wasn't submitted you got no score
you could be on holiday, sick, pc probs hence i looked at threads

jay then decided people were lazy and if you didn't send it in zero

you need a committed unbiased default panel

some of the original things posted on a default by the league runner also swayed people

it wasn't right

my way was and it was fair
if you dont have the time to look you should be on the defaults panel

the amount of times id post a score based on MY findings and my explanation, people would simply put a score
