Its sad to see anyone suffer from dementia, multiple strokes and having half a nation hate you at the same time. Must have been horrible for her and her family and no doubt still is.

My only hope is the dementia didn't stop her from suffering.

That is cruel, god forbid any of your family suffer anything that woman did ( i don't like her either but wouldn't say that)

Your only 18 to so its clear you only share what you have been told about her...

Like most people on here jay, anybody below the age of 30 really hasn't got a clue unless you are into politics and are clued up on history, it hasn't effected this generation (apart from the knock on effect) but lets face it the governments since her have been just as bad maybe worse but just done it in different ways.

I did not particularly like her ideals but I wont be "dancing on her grave" like a lot of critics have called for.

What I am actually annoyed about is I understand the rioting she caused all those years ago, people were frustrated. However just reading the news here, there were riots going on last night and think that is something people should be ashamed about.

There is absolutely no justification in the latest riots, damaging public property, smashing up shops and attacking the police. By all means celebrate if you feel that happy about her death, but do it in your own home!

Age has nothing to do with knowledge on a subject. In fact it can make you even more subjective as you're bound to see things more from your side. (In fact it's actually prejudice to discount someone's opinion based on their age)

I'm slightly to young to remember her as PM added to that fact I'm not into or know nothing about politics so I haven't got a clue what she did wrong. I'm sure the woman did something right but all I know she did was stop people from eating eggs and drinking milk.. Something daft like that

She was part of the cover up of the Hillsborough disaster, she threw people who were hard working and not well off even with the dangers of their job into even more poverty (which incited riots) for the sake of recovering the economy often without much impact on those who could afford to cut back.

Though she was inspirational for equality in women and had a lot of conviction in her duties.

Obviously i'm clearly not unbiased, I would never lower myself to be dancing on her grave but i'm not going to lower myself to saying RIP because that would be going against my beliefs.

Everybody is entitled to an opinion, I'm not from a rich family and want born with a silver spoon in my mouth, I'm not saying maggie did all good but she didnt do all bad either.

There is good and bad in every single person but also remember this lady was a mother, wife and grandmother so I think it's a bit sad and pathetic for people to be throwing parties and the likes.

Wow, how people can be so disrespectful to someone who has died is beyond me. If you didnt like her thats fine but being the way some are is beyond belief.

I interpret a scab as anyone who crosses a picket line, the term is used more loosely now and even footballers who are deemed to be traitors are sometimes reffered as scabs, as are informers are any such like, theres obv difference in opinions on this site, the town I live in , mining was the major employer to the towns people and the knock on affect even 3 decades later is still there to be seen, as is the council house buying scheme she introduced, people round here lost there jobs and homes because of her policies and some there savings, some lads round here after leaving school, going down pit was a definite option if not a fallback, these days talking to a landlord of a reopened pub in town, and he advertised for 2 barstaff and received 1300 applicants for a minimum wage job, I know the recession hasn't helped but as a mining town amongst many others and villages round here her policies more or less crippled communities, im afraid to say I have no sympathy for her death

Simply crossing a picket line does not make you a scab. A strike should only take place where a ballot has been held and the motion carried by the majority. Its very rare that happens in any strike and certainly didnt happen in the miners strike.

Even then we live in a free world where every worker should be able to exercise the right to work if they wish without any reproach.

No that's wrong. We live in a free country where everyone has freedom of speech and the fit to exercise disdain towards those who clearly oppose their protest which they have every right to make.

A strike should take place when people feel they are being done a wrong, it would be pointless for a strike to take place on the terms of those the protests are against as that will change nothing and defy the point of the protest.

She never respected a hell of a lot of people who died and who had to live through poverty and injustice because of her, this is shown in the split of responses. People have the right to vocalise their dismay just as much as those who oppose such comments, all of which are purely socially constructed making the whole thing subjective but I fear I have now left the topic at hand o.o

No respect shown by her so I will show her none for that, I'd support those who wish to show her no respect but I don't condone disrespect. Though I don't judge those disrespecting as most are justified from moral viewpoints as much as anyone vocalising there opinion whether I agree with it or not

Those that were taught stuff through mainstream education in social studies have got to remember that it was that government wanting you to hear and promote their ideologies

After all it was "THEIR" education system.

I worked as baby faced 16yr old for the forces based in Scotland at the time of the Poll Tax introduction and i had to pay exactly the same as a person who had a 5 bedroomed house with a garage and conservatory and maybe a few acres of land...................................

I had a area of 10ft by 8ft as my bedspace in the Barracks.

Outrageous !!!!!
