The Clan League

With the folding of the Chips n Gravy and The Sinners who were both in the top four and would have qualified for The Play-Offs I have decided to change the qualification process now.

It will now be the highest placed team from the season going straight through to the Final. The second placed team will then play a qualifying semi-final against a randomly drawn team from any posiition in the league - the winners taking the second spot in the Final.

is this fair? than that means that if we get in third place it does count for nothing.

I agree with Eri, this doesn't sound very fair

absoloutley stupid decision, if your not rewarded for your finishing position then why play, fair enough we would have liked to achieved it by merit and not the default of teams withdrawels, but look at it logically, and the situation is the teams didn't have the numbers to compete anymore, we have maintained a constantnumber and had no problem fuffiling fixtures, and should be considered due to our reliability if nothing else, it dosent look good for anyone entering next year, its like man city pulling out of premier league and officials saying well its ok spurs can play Fulham or someone for champs league spot

Would have qualified or not, fact is they folded so they gave up that position so it is only right that any team that is in third and fourth get the play off thing that they deserve.

I think its the right way to go. The top 2 clearly deserve their spots and then it gives any other team the chance to progress. Could even be Uprising.

yeah but how is the random team chosen?

It may look that way to you Chris. But if you random draw it and out pops Vipers, how do they deserve the spot when they have finished below the likes of Unbeatables and Uprising and who ever else.

Teams folding should mean they are removed from the tables and things, the clan that take over their original spot now hold that place in the league as the other team folded and they should get the benefits of that place.

I have 8 Creme Eggs sitting in front of me numbered up 3 - 10. The egg that I select and eat next will be the position that qualifies for the Play-Offs. The team therefore ending the season in that position will qualify.

So what is the point in clans working hard to gain points to reach 2nd, 3rd & 4th if in the end they don't get to play.

If there are 10 clans and the 10th clan gets selected, you are essentially rewarding them for being crap. You are not giving much incentive for clans to play if in the end their hard work is overlooked for random selection.

It should be the top four in the league go into Play Off semi final, two winners go in to the final, that is it really. Regardless of a team or two folding.

Playing for bog all really be honest.

Well I thought it was fair - but it did only come to me today.

You must have had a system in place, when u set the league up if this problem occured
