Not trying to start an argument or anything, just helping Dynamos and the player in question out, as if he can't join as a free agent, then fair enough, he'll have to wait until next season. But if he can be classed as a free agent , then he'll be missing out on clan games for the remainder of the season.

I couldn't see any ins or outs regarding him either after the one Eri quoted. But with what you said Jay, does that mean he's not a free agent? Even though he was taken out of a clan during this season, before the transfer window?

Also, I thought the Team Changes thread was official, and changes HAVE to be put on there? Probably to make it easier for you when things like this happen.

maybe a loan rule where you can loan players from other clans? We have this in our league, i haven't seen it used personally as most of Snooker are loyal to their clans throughout the season however we have it in case it does come into play.

The rule would only come into play for 1 fixture set so you can look for more players without worrying too much.

Both Captains must agree along with the league runner.

Saying that players who deactivate on a regular basis shouldn't be in clans as they are unreliable

2.7.3 Loans
Clans that are struggling to survive may loan players from other clans.
This is only a temporary condition and can only be used in absolute emergencies for the purpose of preventing a clan from folding. It allows the captain to sign new players for the next fixtures.
Loans must be approved by the clan runner as well as the captains of the clans involved in the loan.

Obviously this is just an idea for those few who say "its snooker". Up to the runner if he wants to use it

Not sure if I am speaking out of turn here but askingfan has not been a part of our team at all this season, and as i am vice and chief talent scout i would have had an idea if he was involved

On page 53 of the old unbeatables thread askingfan said he was available to play again so maybe the captain offline messaged Jay, other than that I can't see anything...

Theres the only bit about askingfan being removed from UBS, he wasnt added to any clan and that was 4 months ago.
The rule says no one can join any clan after midseason, but Jay has said for example clooneman can join any clan tomorrow as hes a free agent.
So tbh guys and gals im very confused lol.

Taking rules from Snooker as i presume they are the same:

2.7 Player transfers
From the moment the clan league officially starts, players must stick with their clan. Transfers are only allowed during a 1 week transfer window later in the season. If a player transfers before the transfer window, they will not be eligible to play until after the transfer window.

After the transfer window, no further transfers are allowed.

There is no transfer window for Cup Games. Once a player plays in a cup fixture, they may not play in the cup for another clan.

2.7.1 Signing free agents
Free agents can be signed throughout the entire season (Quarantine, rule 2.8 applies). If a free agent was a member of a clan after the transfer window, he can not play for another clan for the duration of the season.

So the question is was this player signed during the current season?

If Yes, he is not available to join another clan, only the clan they was apart of

If No, he is a free agent and can be signed to a single clan only

I know askingfan was with us last season for a short time, i'm not entirely sure but i think he left us after not too long due to inactivity maybe.

But I know he was never with us this season...yes he posted on our thread at one point but nothing came about from it.

A free agent is any player not registered to a clan. Captains may sign free agents at any time. Free agents will not be allowed to go to a clan after the mid-season transfer window.

Bit of confusion here, If the Underline is right the rule i posted above albeit different leagues is the same. If Italic is right then no one can join a clan after the transfer window, this would include clooneman, baff, spinner etc.

For all that missed it, the above means when i was sent a list at start of season he was on it, log was wiped before teams where asked for and other things like it always is.

I have already explained the rest to. Im not going to sit and repeat myself, if anything needs said i will speak to Dynamos captain about it, have the rule reworded also. I cant comment anymore on this till is look fully into it again but the log has never been wrong before if it is it will be sorted.

yeah but if UB sent a team at the start of the season with askingfan in it that means askingfan is still part of UB as no one took him out on the team changes.

Not everything is done in team changes at the start of the season, hence why people send their full list of players to me in an offline message.

There has been on going issues with the weebly website for quite some time now, the rule that is meant to be there is not there and it is going to be re worded as it should be free agents can move at anytime, unless they have made themself a free agent by leaving a clan at their own will.

Now onto the log, i have dug deeper and it is showing one or two things from last season which should not be there so now i can't 100% say askingfan was removed this season. The log needs to be sorted (more so for me than anyone else) and the captain of Dynamos has been told that askingfan will be added to the team due to this log issue.

seen a lot of clans that are makins subs and swaps in the first day the fixtures are released, which i dont really like tbh. can a rule be brought up for next season to prevent clans making subs and swaps the first week of the fixture (unless someone deactivates or is banned) or allow only a certain number of swaps like it is in fbl?

Swaps and subs should always be allowed any time of the fixture. As long as games get played it shouldn't matter who plays who as longs as the games get done.

whats the point in sending teemsheets if the first day of release i make 8 subs and i pick the players who play the opposite side?

Yes but tactical subbing should be stopped horsey. As you can see on black magic thread rightly or wrongly theres a situation.

As long as it is 8 of your players i don't have an issue with it and the games get played. As an opposing captain i could just do 8 subs as well if i want.
