i said it as your on about stopping tactical subbing, the only way to do that is not allow any subs in the fixture, even if you allow one it is possible.

match fixing is where you play a match and lose on purpose so the other clan gains an advantage. For example if transfer anytime was in effect i could move to a new clan just to help my old one. what i mean is pot 15 blacks illegally in a row (even if you pot 1 black illegally on purpose), that is match fixing.

the two things are completely separate discussions. Tactical Subbing can be prevented at a heavy price, Match Fixing cannot be prevented unless you ban the player and the result would have to be wiped.

I am sorry but all this about match fixing is nonsense, every clan has 16 players how they choose to play them is up to them, as long as 8 players from one clan play 8 players from the other clan the game gets complete. If that means a completely different 8 players play it doesn't matter as they are still members of that clan.

I play in clan league and if i get drawn against for example dgen and on the first day they sub in seb to whoop me as they think i am the weak link so be it.

There should be nothing in the rules against it as the only thing that should matters is that 8 games get played between any players from each team as all players have an equal standing in the clan anyway as you are a team.

If i was captaining snooker squad i would use the tactic that lee speaks of above regarding using seb, there is no doubt he is a machine so why not have him on the bench if you are in trouble to get big points. You know he is a reliable sub and capable of whooping anyone on his day. In my opinion this is a form of great captaining rather than this match fixing.

If professionals put in a team of 8 players and SS or sinners or any other clan want to swap the 8 players after the games are released it doesn't matter in the slightest as professionals can do the same or we can play as long as 8 games get played between the 2 clans the rest is irrelevant.

its called a discussion I don't mind tactical subs either, the 7 day rule should be enough to stop most cases. The rule derik speaks of should only be in the cup.

7 day rule is pointless, we should embrace any subbing that means all 8 games get completed with any players from the clans involved. If this means 8 subs day one so be it

But what is the point in 8 subs on day one... surely you enter the team you intend to play? why sub as soon as games are released? we may as well just stop asking for team sheets, tell you who you are playing and as long as 8 games are played we shouldn't worry... imagine the chaos!

Its not chaos each team has 16 players how they choose to sub and use them is up to them. If Man Utd were 1-0 down after 5 minutes if Fergie wanted to sub in RVP, Rooney and Hernandez that is his choice they are all Man Utd players, whether he does it after 5 mins or 85 mins is up to him as long as they are part of the team it shouldn't matter.

Then they'll add 6 mins onto the deadline

fact of the matter is, complaints were received about "match fixing" and something has been drawn up to address concerns.

It is not like the rule states no subs what so ever, it just gives the initial released games a chance to be played. I for one as a captain would put a team forward I intended to play and would not sub in the first week.

You have to bear in mind it also saves the more naive clans from being bullied into making early subs... this has also been an issue in the past

Sorry but match fixing is impossible with unlimited subs. We should be getting 8 games played with any players from the teams involved if some teams want to do lots of subs to make it happen that is their choice if others want to run with their original 8 that is their choice, either option is available to both so match fixing is impossible.

one thing we haven't sorted is how do you deal with IN GAME match fixes? i think that should be raised as well since we are on the subject of tactical subs

Just been reading back and I see people say they dont mind tactical subs but are against match fixing, I'm all for tactical subs if needed and I might be wrong here but whats the difference between tactical and your socalled match fixing ?, I totally agree with a few posts that its one clan v another and as long as its 8 v 8 whats the problem, as for clan captains being told how to run their clans and being told when they can or can't sub just aint on, just my thoughts but its the captain that recruits the players so leave them to decide how they use their players and let them run their clans how they decide.
