i do like the idea but with fcl and its history it might not work here, however if you did your own event in snooker events you could do 8 clans with 8 people in each, 5 play games while rest are subs.
dunno if interest would be there but fcl has nearly 200 people, im talking 1/6 of that so might or might not get interest

james may i ask why you needed to mention anything on the sinners thread provoking a needless arguement, which has nothing at all to do with league discussion and this current topic

I do agree we need to nullify the fact the league is won by pretty much the same players but in different clans and the only way I can see that is with a draft style league where we have draft picks at the end of the season x

playing eachother 3/4 times can get abit repetitive...but the cup and plate idea i like as it sorta goes along the lines of splitting the league midway so all teams have a chance of something

I don't see where your coming from in germs of the better players won't play wih lesser players, when I wasnt too good I still used to play friendlies with Damien or DVZ as they are always willin to play friendlies and it helps your game ten fold. Would love to know the top players who refuse to play with "lesser players" feel free to offline message me.
also i used to play destiny all the time and he used to teach me about position etc, then i learned by watching him play (if you ever seen him play carom on form no one comes close). Nowadays i play seb (whocares8x8) at orig when i can and sometimes i do good, sometimes seb dominates but good challenge
It could be more productive as some of the so called "lesser player" may get a friendship that most likely would never have happened and also a few lessons to help his or her game along .
Surely it can't be seen as a bad thing ?

the changes people are looking at here are massive, and cant surley be applied this season, so why not look at it properly over the course of next season and set ideas in motion, but as ive said many times, its about all clans ideas not just a few, afterall its for all clans

I just felt that players like you mentioned can be like a mentor to the inexperienced players and help them along....after all it is better to have a close fought loss with a bit of thinking rather than a table bouncer win. But i know that will never be beaten in tournaments.

Nobody has said its for a few clans , im in a clan with some of the best players yet im saying we need to stop that sort of thing happening.

Not really rare two seasons ago I went to angry yet I could of gone anywhere.

i must say i totally agree with elements of this post. It is quite true that some play the game to enhance and manipulate the default decision, rather than playing the game for FUN. IMO the fun element has been taken out of it. Bring back the fun!!
i would like to add,
when teams are knocked out the cup let them have a plate formatt, and give teams a chance to win somthing.
just an idea, regardless of what people say, weve seen season after season, division one isnt about fun anymore, its about winning and status.
division two always seems to have less pressure on teams leading to more fun, division one teams as a rule play not only the game itself but also the defaults game.
the thing that is missing is the fun, not evening things out, try concentrating on bringing the fun element back
you only have to read this thread at times and see the tones used. get back to what these leagues were designed for
"FUN" its being lost and needs to be found again. get rid of singles there are far to many clan games being played. to many pressures being put on to many players to get numerous games played
and how about having 3 divisions, if your going to seed teams, and its down to ability, let equal strength teams play each other if its 3 or 4 times who cares .

Haha you know I loved my time there but I'm captaining the professionals with mr herring I'm afraid :-p.
