People play to win - whether its Division 1 or 2 doesnt matter. There are many that would rather win regularly in Division 2 than not win regularly in Division 1.

Hence why clans fold and restart and hence why winning Division 2 titles goes on clan thread titles.

Where did i not say they do not play to win? of course they play to win because they want to move up a division. Whether you are a division one team or a division two team you would change your clan thread to show what you won, as then others would know, in the pool world of clans that is something to be proud of.

What is there to be proud of in having folded a clan that wasnt winning in Division 1 to then win in Division 2. Kind of goes against the argument.

You could argue it penalises people to put them straight back in Division 1.

That wasn't winning division one? Chris clans don't just fold because they are not winning there is many reasons why a clan and may fold.

I'm not carrying this on because we have been down this road before and the fact that the same argument raises up pretty much every closed season shows it hasnt been solved.

Besides the points I made in the posts above you are also penalising the existing long standing teams in Division 2 by distorting the competition in putting in teams that should not be that Division in the first place.

But I know this is something that will never be accepted so nevermind.

The facts are that every year clans fold and new clans form. Why not try and change the way the leagues are split so that the clans end up in leagues on ability and that the best clan for the season wins the top league whether its a new clan or an old clan should be irrelevant.

I predict UT will win division 2 by miles this season, if they were not their due to achieving the top league status you might find that the bottom league was very competitive and it gives other clans a chance to win it and something to play for rather than looking forward to playing UT and getting beating by large numbers. This might also help to stop clans folding.

It would also mean that the top league would have all the top clans in it, why should the winners of the FCL not win by beating all the top clans.

Just because we have done it one way for all these seasons it doesn't mean its right. The one thing we have had every season is clans folding and reforming why not change and try and make the leagues a level playing field so clans are playing clans of similar ability and the constant folding and reforming doesn't make the leagues unbalanced as it does currently.

If nobody had folded keith shooters and TPA would have been relegated and shooters would have won the 2nd division by a mile this season and battered the teams by the same sorts of scores instead of UT so nothing is distorted.

This new suggestion to make things fairer would mean...
lesser teams would have to play the whole of the first division instead of just one good team.
We finished 3rd and missed 2nd by a couple of points last season, why should we have to play off for our place because teams reform? We've earnt it anyway.

talk about putting teams down before the the season kicks of that UT will win it by a mile
if teams look at this what is the point in entering in division 2 if that the case what a lovely statement by you keith give other teams no hope before they kick of the season

i tell you one thing with these leagues and clans
when having a good team what captain gives the average players a go none on here
i use to give them all a shot at it
its all about giving them sort of players a chance in a teams its not all about winning like you all think
it also meant to be bit of fun with it
but you lot take to heart we got to get the best players to win
try run a average team let see how you so called best captains really get on with these leagues
you lot are all the same on here no one never whats to give the average team a shot to win any think on here but you what them to take part in your leagues

yes but some of us has certain restrictions for our team we only take players who have played snooker and if we didn't we wouldn't be much of a Snooker Squad now would we

You just took whoever was on the waiting list Rick because you were too lazy to hunt for better players any other way and couldnt keep your players happy..don't come on here slating everyone else trying to make out it was some moral, conscious decision to get worse players in.
We give people chances, everyone gets equal games and win or lose we have a good time

We started in the second division and everytime we lose top players we give good second division players a chance.
No point however signing players that are gonna get beaten baddly every week, not sure on your actual point here other than to have another of your daily rants at everyone.

let me put something straight here lee i could played for the best teams on here but i choose not to many of seasons i believe in giving people the chance to play
