Resetting all time rank leader boards?

well this site has had alot of updatings now and the only way of getting rank in the high 900's nowdays is to play in tournaments, YOOU CANT PICK WHO YOU;LL PLAY TO GET THAT EXTRA RANK, i think it should only befare if there was a before games adjustments and after so we can see the differences, coz nowdays its impossible to get to 950 in 9ball

If they were reset then it wouldn't be the all time rank leaderboard, would be the part time rank leaderboards wouldn't it?

It's not impossible to get a new highest rank though like you are making out.

No. They should remain as they are as people played/cheated hard to get them high ranks and they are the old greats of the game so to just delete them would be a farce.

This was always gonna happen with tournapoints but it's just the way it is.

Your idea would undertake too much work and there would be too many high ranks now, then and everywhen so i think it's best to keep it as it is.

Get to the top of todays ranks and remain there for a while?

From memory I think rubber_duck's high rank score in US8 was after ranked tournaments came in (if not I am sure someone will correct me) so was a true and genuine achievement.

The all-time rankings have always been hard

For example the 9 ball ones. 50th place was 912 when I got my maximum, which was just over 2 years ago, and had been like that for a while. For it to still be like that today is nothing to do with the ranking changes, it's still just as possible as it always has been.

As Mich said they are called all time for a reasons.

Personally i think Blaze is just saying this idea as the self proclaimed "great player" is struggling to get high in the ranks now.

True, but it is now harder to get higher ranks. But it works for the better i think. A lot of fakers were up there.

Yeah, he does make a valid point about how hard it is, when i was trying for 850+ on 8US, 9US, 8UK, Killer and Straight it was very frustrating sometimes. One dumb mistake and you are losing 5+ points in some cases. (Fell just short of 850 on Killer)

fine as it is, if you notice over the years nick has made it harder to reach the top level.

ancient times (double decimal rank, easy to rank up) > Precise Ranking (one decimal rank, Tournament Rank now was Ranked then) > Now (Tournament Rank as it was, Normal Rank Halved).

and with tournaments you cannot pick who you play which makes rank even harder, yes some of the highest rankings are before Ranked Tournaments but remember Tournament Rank has not doubled but Normal Rank has been halved
