I think there should be a hourly Micro 9 Ball Tourney! And for those of you who say there isn't time within the hour here is my suggestion for that... Add 8Ball UK Arcade to the mix then a schedule like the following could be but in place:

top of hour ... what we have now
15 min after ... Micro 8 Ball UK Arcade
20 min after ... Micro 8 Ball Arcade
25 min after ... Micro 9 Ball Arcade
30 min after ... what we have now
45 min after ... Micro 8 Ball UK
50 min after ... Micro 8 Ball
55 min after ... Micro 9 Ball

I put all the Arcades in the first have and Regulars in the second have but that doesn't have to be it this way it could be mixed up!

Also we don't need 8 Ball UK Arcade to make these changes! A Micro Random could be put in it's place at 15 min after!

nah disagree, if anything we need LESS tournaments not MORE, as from your suggestion your trying to devalue tournaments even more.

I also would really like to here what the admins and mods have to say about my suggestion above and adding 8 Ball UK Arcade to the site!

no I'm not trying to "devalue" the regular tournaments... it just seems that things are missing and my suggestion is to balance the schedule out!

i mean tournaments in general not just regular ones, at the moment theres a tournament every 15 minutes which for me devalues tournaments from when they was hourly tournaments.

in my personal opinion tournaments has been devalued ever since they was made ranked as since tournapoints got brought out nick's had to bring in loads of tournaments which for me devalues a win unless there are 1000 tournapoints available in that tournament. decreasing tournaments to every hour, making them all friendly and getting rid of tournapoints would bring the value back into tournaments.

And I thought I was told there was no more room in the schedule for more tournaments! ... Hmmmm?

we should go back to hourly tournaments really with a 25 hour schedule, not bothered if its friendly or ranked or even if tournapoints stays but then it will increase value of tournaments, this would mean that micro has to go as well.

i think then the best players will join most of the hourly tournaments and the tournaments value will increase, it makes the Day/Week/Month event even more important as at the moment someone proved a few month back that you can win a medal by playing 90% micros which defeats the purpose really...

Part of the reason there needs to be more tournaments at the moment is the difference in weighting between these games and the traditional ranked games.

Ideally you would return to hourly tournaments (either with regular rotations or the 25 hr schedule) and then introduce automatic paired ranked games with the same ranked weighting as there is in tournament games.

That way you create a level playing field for all types of players - ie those who like, and have the time, to play full tournaments and those that like to just dip in and out quickly to play a few games. In effect both types of player would be competing under the same conditions with no control over who their opponents were. At present that is something that is missing.

It also, as stated by others, would make the TournaPoints competitions more relevant.

No way! Anybody good will not miss, so it will be UBER hard to gain top spot's in my opinion, idk.

Just a suggestion that I miraculously thought up in a matter of minutes... (Which means this will be horribly flawed probably)

How about when you open a chat box there could be a "request chat" button, which if you click sends a request through in the form of a invite. This could work for if people have someone on ignore also to arrange games or whatever. Could also have it with your own friends so your chat box doesn't just pop up as you are about to take a shot but at a time which is best for you. You can also choose to decline this invite.

I think this would help a lot as people won't complain about chat boxes popping up and can open them when they wish...
Would help people arrange clan games with some people who do not accept PM's when competing as that person would see the invite there and can open at a time best for them.
And if you have someone on ignore, and wish not to speak to them just simply decline the invite.

Now I look back it seems a bit poop but oh well took the time to post it so happy reading.

Not really if one invite is declined then until that person sees fit to talk to the other person you can stop other invites to them, from the person who was declined. If you send an invite to the game and press it 25 times only one invite goes through that could be same here also.

When the person next logs in he/she can be open to invites from any person again, until an invite is declined, and then again from when they next log in.

A quick and simple suggestion I have...

Every 50 games abandoned you lose 5 ranking points. It is far more common now people leave when you look set for a clearance than I can ever remember

how about those who have general disconnecting problems?
