ok lets use a 15 man as an example, you win you get credited for 14 wins (as 14 people are knocked out), and if your knocked out your only credited for 1 loss.

Is anybody in Admin actually gonna read this thread? I mean, we're putting suggestions in here as if this thread was started by Admin in order to find out how they can improve the game for us, when in actual fact this thread was created by moonbeam06!!

ive grown to learn quickly pot that admin don't reply much in these types of threads which is a shame as we are providing ideas which may improve the game and a reply normally goes a long way.

i'd be happy just knowing they look/that they think it's worth looking (to see what the players think about how to improve the game).
Some of the suggestions are really easy to implement and some are so good they should've been done ages ago!

But a reply - we'd be in 7th heaven

Events achieved in a friendly game should be announced and recorded as such. Just like the way Friendly Tourni's are recorded as wins separate to Ranked.
Example:
ANNOUNCEMENT: Straight Pool - potlimit got 31 successive pots
RESULT: Straight Pool Friendly - potlimit (1) 32-13 (0) willtyson147 (by default, willtyson147 left the game)

you mean.
Runs of 30+ (Friendly)
Runs of 30+ (Ranked)
Runs of 60+ (Friendly)
Runs of 60+ (Ranked)
if so i don't really see need for it as it makes stats untidy.

I agree that it would be untidy - i only suggested it because it would be in keeping with the current format of recording Friendly Tourni wins separately to Ranked.
Consider this:
This site rates players ability through a points system and glorifies peoples achievements by announcing them. But a friendly/unranked event is not a very good achievement as it could be done in a guest game against a player who cannot operate the game and/or it is achieved without the risk of losing own rank.
Therefore, either friendly achievements should not be recorded or announced at all or they should be recorded separately.

Why is a friendly or un ranked game less important, a large run, run out or gb is still the same standard of difficulty, wether playing a member or a guest. When it comes down to it it's your ability not your opponent that gets the achievement, so who its against shouldn't make an ounce of difference!

Because a large run, runout or gb can be achieved in a friendly game without the added pressure of losing rank.

Tbf the rank lost is not the thing that gives pressure... but that might just be me =/
20:54 Sun 11 Mar 12 (GMT) [Link]
yeah doesn't matter if its friendly or ranked, its only pressure if you care for your rank which if you don't (resetting proves you don't) then its the same achievement as a friendly.
keep it as it is

well i don't, and i wouldn't be happy if my announcements didn't count, as people know i ONLY tend to play ranked in tournaments and since i rarely enter them then if this came in (which it won't) then i would be screwed.
you need to think of the people who play just friendlies as well as just ranked.

Could nick or the admin dept, let us change the colour of our posts? Ie: when posting clan games would be nice to highlight those games not played yet in blood red, as opposed to bold black, as when players view on a tablet or cell phone (for you Americans) or a mobile phone for UK, as its not clear it needs to be played? It clearly does on a computer, but to avoid any confusion, this would solve it?
