I can guarantee that this is not what we voted on, because we would never be able to determine what a 'good reason' is. The vote was in favor of 1 transfer during the season per player, no conditions.

The player posted on the forum though jem and those posts will damage a clan, other members see it they could question if they're in the right place and potential members may be put off.
If it was in the rules in the future 1 transfer per season which must be handled properly and we did away with the captain's permission(which the league can just overturn anyway) when teams are signing a player they would tell them..'send a polite message to your captain informing them you want to come to us and I will do the same, don't post about it on the forums'
If that happens player moves if the rules are broken then the transfer doesn't happen.

It's not a rule Rick was a new suggestion as the transfer systems all have major flaws and we just go round in circles with them was trying to come up with something different.

i agree with you 100% lee, about the forum posting, however that was not in my control

i wouldnt overturn a decision if it was reasonable but i agree obtaining permission or whatever should be done with a polite request

i wouldnt disagree with any part you are saying there lee - maybe alter captains permission with the steps you have outlined

- new captain approach existing captain
- player approach existing captain
- existing captain attempts to resolve any issues the player has
- if nothing can be done then player can transfer

^ all done civilly and privately i may add

People voted for everyone can move once there wasn't anything about captain's permission in the vote what I am suggesting is fine let people move once but make sure the transfer is handled properly without damaging the clan losing the player and minimising the bad feeling.

Player breaks the rules and posts on the forum slating and/or demanding a transfer they can be released by the captain but can't play for anyone else until the next season.

Captain breaks the rules and posts that they want a player on the player's clan page then they aren't allowed to sign the player that season, multiple offences punished more harshly.

i think that is reasonable, i would like to see that in motion rather than captains permission. maybe we can avoid situations like todays if we had your suggestion in place.

obviously a limit of transfers per season would still need to be in place - i hope people are happy and would stick to 1 single move per season

Yeah definitely only 1 should be needed, if you're unhappy after your first move then you can see out the rest of the season.

Mid season transfer window was discussed and laughed at so why does dgeneratio keep trying to bring in snooker clan rules.
Having a mid season 1 week transfer free for all could kill off clans for the 2nd half of the season if too many players leave.
The transfer rule that was discussed and voted for was that all players could transfer once no matter the reasons, captains permission was added by the league runners, don't know why.

Difference between both transfer rules is with a 1 week free for all you could lose a load of players and struggle to replace them in a week, this could cause clans to fold.
With the rule in place clans will just lose the odd player now and then so it will be easier to replace them.

Should take out the captains permission.

Right im making a decision based on what i have read here so far, i have not discussed this with anyone else so it is on me if it goes wrong in the future.

A player can transfer to another clan ONCE during the season (includes pre season). They do not need captains permission but they are urged to let their captain know about there departure from the clan. (that bit wont be in the rule obviously as you cant force someone to tell someone something haha)

That is the main rule, is there anything that should be added to it? any suggestions or what not. It will be added to the website in due course.

there is no reason for it to be removed, its a vaild clause, if the so called nasty captain comes into place the player had the option of appealing to the league anyway

as demonstrated recently players have been taken and captains and i use this lightly forced to grant permission, after the event

where it all falls down is when captains corrupt the players mind ,, then as an after thought ask the captain permission, then why should a captain be forced to say yes

also if ....and again loosely a team is about to loose 5 players why shouldnt he or she have the right to say no

and tell them to see the season out rather than fold a team, a very extreme circumstance but could happen

you have changed this rule, what about asking all the managers concerned and not just 2 or 3 people

Should be that they must inform their captain they are leaving before the new clan can name them, as a captain I don't want to find out a player is leaving by reading it on another clans thread.

The season is not officially started so any rule can be changed, once you get that into your head then maybe just maybe you might not post absolute nonsense!

Craig theres a good chance if you say no your going to lose the players anyway, they either want to play for you or they don't and the reason they are asking to move is because they don't so why keep them.

Jay, you can make people do things properly set out rules as to how the transfers need to be handled and we will stop a lot of unnecessary bad feeling
