you could prove that you have the better team, just that the other clan could have one outstanding individual which you cannot beat. Having one outstanding individual doesn't mean you have a better team.
It is both a team competition and a collection of individuals, because of the nature of an online site like this. End of the day, with no doubles on the site, and no killer in clans - it will always be just 2 individuals playing each other with a preference for playing with friends/for a particular clan. Getting ridd of team fixtures would get rid of organisation and structure.

But for a football match, that is a team of individuals who interact with each other in there game. And football doesn't have much relevance when used like that. Football, the individual's input means nothing to the score overall, and it is based on overall wins - not goals scored (the equivalent of frames won)
Either way, As long as everyone is aware before the season of the way things are scored, and accept it before it affects them - it is fair.

On the basis that this is a team competition - team vs team in direct matches - then yes.
The same way that in a football match 10 players may have shockers and play poorly whereas one player steps up and scores the winning goal to win the match.

Topics Being Discussed:
1. Default panel - Increasing the panel to one player from each clan. Division one players would decide defaults on division two fixtures and vice versa.
2. Completion bonus - To scrap it or not.
3. Match win bonus - Scrap the match win bonus, increase it back to 20 instead of 10.
4. Allowing players to transfer to another clan during a season with the captains permission (Like it used to be)
Think i have covered all that has been brought up so far if not please add to the list, cheers.

An endless argument lol. A team that supports its outstanding player so that he/she was able to make such a big difference could easily be argued to be the best 'team' making the best use of their asset.
In a league of six clans you could ask for 10 sets of eight players up front and do all the fixtures in advance with ten weeks to play them. Could arguably result in better structure and organisation than now and no defaults too!! Is that a more fun format than now and better than team v team with win bonuses? Not for me. Maybe others would think differently.

Cheers dgeneratio mate
My views are the same as yours really, except the match bonus thing as i think if that was scrapped then the league would be one by frames one and no extra points.

1. Yes
2. Scrap
3. Keep the same (most people were against scrapping a while back)
4. Mid-season transfer window!!!!! So much easier and a good balance between player and captain interests. Players can transfer only during transfer window (are cup-tied). Free agents can be added throughout. Players that are dropped or quit do not become free agents, they have to wait until transfer window too. Players from folded clans become free agents.
Look and learn:
Rule 2.7

If people don't like that, then yes to number 4.

Seb,
Are you saying like if the season has say 6 fixtures (two games a fortnight) then start the transfer window on the start of the third set and end it on the fourth set?

10 fixture sets, 6 clans, 8 matches in a fixture, 6 fixtures in a set so.
48 matches per fixture x 6 = 288 x 10 = 2880 i think imagine doing those haha
maths is probably wrong but you get the idea

basically cut season in 2 halfs like football, 1st half is before transfers, 2nd half is after transfer, 1 week transfer = half time.

240 games in total I think for 6 teams playing each other twice in a season. Just think though you would only have to do it once and really there should be no need for any default decisions with ten weeks to get games played!!!

Same answers for me. Transfer windows can be a hinderance to teams that need players at any given time and similarly players that need teams. Maybe limit players to one transfer per season to stop anyone jumping from ship to ship?
