I agree with bisto, 4 or 5 tournaments an hour is ridiculous, should be 1 tourny 1 friendly tourny per hour in my opinion.

no thats why i mainly come on here now to play clan games and do tourneys

in an hour 4 of the tournaments arent even proper ones

Maybe 1 tourny that starts at 10 past the hour like now, and have the friendly tourny and the micro both start at 40 mins past the hour?

From 15:00 to 15:45 there is 6 tournaments.

Lets take the argument away from personal views for a second and think of Nick and his attempts to sell Funkypool to potential new players (customers).

In my line of work and based on the end to end customer experience piece you have to provide what the customer wants by listening to them... because a few don't want so many tournaments doesn't mean he should decrease the number, he has to think of the bigger picture and the widest appeal. If you don't want to play in so many just ignore the invite message and be selective, but before you criticise remember the option is yours. He also could not have predicted that so many people would register for all and jump between tournys willie nillie. That again is the customer choice and isn't a fault just a choice!

micro's give those who aren't good a higher ranking which needs to be stopped so people do become back to the normal ranks.

An example i was thinking of was having both ranked & friendly's alined with each other so for example at 15:00 US8 ranked & US8 friendly both start at 15:10 giving the 10minutes waiting time as normal.

Every half past works into a speed or a marathon (if the added killer comes on this will then be in place with these) so you could end up with a schedule like so:

15:00: US8 Ranked & Friendly
15:30: Killer Ranked
16:00: US9 Ranked & Friendly
16:30: Straight Ranked
17:00: UK8 Ranked and Friendly
17:30: US8 Ranked
18:00: Straight Ranked & Friendly
18:30: US9 Ranked
19:00: Killer Ranked & Friendly
19:30: UK8 Ranked

Just a rough example then those at every half past can either be a speed or a marathon - killer would just remain as a normal tourny just with a different shot clock time.

This way tourny's are still the main aim of the site - it gives 30minutes between for those to play ranked games so more become possible & will also cut waiting times down. I see no reason why Ranked and Friendly tourny's can't collide as those who play the friendly's USUALLY never enter the ranked aswell or are unable to.

How do you know the majority want 6 tournaments an hour? There hasn't been a questionnaire sent round or anyone asking anyone else just this thread where a few people agree 6 an hour is a bit much.

but its not like you have to play in them all...you have the choice. Your not made to play in them

id play killer tourneys,the only interest i have in the others was that they take players away from normal fun games too much.

Why complain about too many tourny's just opt out and be selective which ones you play in.

It's like those that complain about content via media providers ... simples..... don't complain just don't watch!

and when you don't enter but your online your expected to do what? they're are rarely ever any games now where someone 750+ is playing so for anyone above 800 there is no insentive to play a normal ranked games and only insentive to play in the tournys. I'm aware they are wanting to be at the forefront of the game but even so something still needs to be done about it.

There are too many tournaments but only because they've had to accomodate the crappy waste of space arcade games.
I don't think that killer is baddly hit at all, still think it's really popular. It's great for when you've had a few, are doing something or are hungover
Don't see the interest in ranked games anyway and cutting the tourneys wouldn't make people play them.

I'm a big fan of micros ab reason being I only play tourneys and I don't play arcade, friendly or straight.
When those tourneys are on I can play an 8 ball and a UK or 9 ball and sometimes now despite there being so many more tourneys quite often you will get arcade, friendly, arcade. Everyone likes different tourneys having the micros there lets you play the game type you like.
The micros being empty happens at 4 in the morning, they always fill up quickly. Friendlies are empty constantly
