Currently 5 on the go at the same time,overlapping and taking players away from normal games. I waited 10mins for a 5man killer to fill,nobody showed. Having a ridiculous amount of tournaments isnt much fun. What if a newbie joined today,trying to get a game for ages without joy. Would leave and not bother coming back. I expect the same wisecrack replies from clans.

bisto i dont see a problem isnt it peoples perogative to enter tournaments we are not all here just to play killer with you ..... and surely one of those tournaments was a friendly which a new player could actually enter

No i dont in fact i have entered about 4 tournaments today lol .... so i think you need to maybe watch them a little closer :D

every hour you mostly have:

*1 standard tournament
*4 micro tournaments
*either a speed tournament or a friendly

nick want to make this site revolve more areound tournaments and that is what he has done. Killer, like straight has less regular players than other formats.

Tournaments are the forefront of the site now, that's why all tournapoints and double rank for tournys got introduced. Playing a normal game is effectively a secondary option now.

From what i understand Nick wants to make the site more friendly to newbie members and with the introduction of people from facebook, the idea is not to scare new members off the site in a tournament game! The reason for friendly tournament games! All i would say is if you dont like all the games then only play the tournaments you prefer..... simple

Remember this game is much easier for us long timed served players

Does that show that tournaments are more popular than killer. personally i dont play killer as some of the games take far to long to start never mind play.

Probably yeah madam but the fact is what you don't play or the majority even still doesn't mean other things should be neglected. For instance does that mean we should now get rid of killer because not as many people play it?

But yeah maybe a few need to be cut out or killer might aswell be removed - it could possibly end up only 3 players a day play a game at this rate and with the ranking system.

Fair enough of tournys are now the forefront i understand - every format has one but not killer this ties back in with the other thread that myself, james, potalot & chris spoke on, something needs to be done to resolve this.

It does. Eliminating the waiting issue seems to be the priority. At the moment once you set a game size you have no option but to wait till it's full or else try starting again with a smaller number of players.

If you could have Killer games that automatically start at a set time (once an hour maybe?) regardless of the number of players up to the maximum it would certainly get be a good addition.
