Why not just on the day his account turns a month old?

This makes most sense, players should be able to be put down before their month wait, just not eligible to play.

And if they're in the team list before the fixture starts, then they should be eligible for that fixture set (as soon as they have served their month)

think you got it wrong.

if playerx was added to teamlist then playerx would be eligible from eligibility date meaning the 9th, would be a day wait instead of waiting 13 more days.

thats what zante and seb is trying to say

yeah i like that idea...but in regards to getting games played if you include someone in that can play til the second week of the fixture set and the game doesnt get played, i assume that the default would lie heavily against the team who chose to include the player who was ineligible, if you get me

For the first part of the fixture, someone else would have to be listed- the player who becomes eligible during the fixture can only be subbed in. He can't be in the game from the beginning (even if he just lets it sit until he's eligible. Must be a sub.

Rule is clear you have to have the account for a month before fixture starts.

So if fixture starts on the 06th and your month is up on the 07th you can't play in that fixture.

Simple straightforward and rule shouldn't be changed.

I for one would not want to play someone who wasn't able to play at start of fixture as a sub later in that fixture.

Teams should have enough players to cover fixtures if they are relying on someone who is waiting for his month to be up, it would worry me a lot.

totally agree with Keith, the player cant be registered to play for a clan in the FCL untill their account is 1 month old, so really they are just joining the FCL on the date their accountt is 1 month old, just like a new signing, if that date is during a fixture set they then have to wait untill the next fixtures.

1.8 Quarantine for new signings
Only players (user names) who are registered for a clan at the time each fixture is published may play games in that fixture. Any player that joins the clan after this point is not eligible to play until the following set of fixtures. Note that this means players changing their user name are also not eligible to play until the next set of fixtures.

i agree with horse, if a player becomes eligible 4 days into the fixture and has been picked to play, then this is shortening the window for them to get their game played, afterall they are only 2 week gaps.

I disagree with the moderators. The conditions should be the same for everyone.
If someone is lucky, they'll be eligible after exactly 1 month (if it's the day before the new fixtures). If someone is unlucky, they could be out for 6 weeks. Why??

I just don't see a reason for creating this disparity. If everyone gets to play after exactly 1 month, there would be no advantages or disadvantages for any player. But if there is some important reason for the current rule, I would be interested.

You misunderstood I think. That player wouldn't be allowed to start a fixture. Only eligible players can be picked to play. Once the other player's account turns a month old, they can be subbed into games if needed, not before. So the window wouldn't be shortened, because the first player can get the game played already.

Horsey, why does it matter who you get for a sub, at the end of the day you get a sub simply because the person your ment to play has been inactive/can't play. it could be anyone, what is the difference if they have only had their account 1month 1day or 1 year? (No dig intended, just curious)

Ab, they have already joined the clan and are on team sheet, but simply can't play till the month is up, why does it stop them being able to play after their month?

so what you are saying is any new signing that joins during a fixture set can sub in, because that is exactly the same as allowing 1 month accounts to sub in, that player cant be registered to play in the FCL untill their account is 1 month old so they are exactly the same as a new signing and should be the same rules.

If you want to change more rules thats up to you, seems to be plenty of it going on, Im starting to wonder whos running this league.

think your misunderstanding.

they cant sub in until there account is 1 month old and not before so if they was in teamlist before fixtures started (its fine) its ok to sub in soon as their month is up and not before.

so for example tinie on snooker wasn't eligible until last day of fixture so he had to wait until that time to sub in.

thats what seb is saying.

No, a player has to join before the fixture. They won't be eligible to play games before the month is up though.

Then let them.
As long as they can't play until the month is up, the spirit of the rule is being followed. Remember the idea is that people shouldn't reset. The punishment for resetting is a "1-month ban" so to speak. Once the time is up, they should be able to play.
