In any match I play I always use 30 sec, even in clan matches. No one has ever said anything.

Leave it to the players. Let's be honest, you can't tell what players do anyway. People might have been playing 10 sec games for years....

If the players can't agree on a time limit, then it should automatically be 20 secs. Otherwise, leave it up to the players. Can't control it anyway.

Problem is though the more experienced players will just setup the game to what they want and take advantage of the people who dont know the rules.
There hasn't been any big clamour for a change so why change it?

True, but the more experienced players might be doing that anyway and you wouldn't know anything about it.
I really don't think it matters whether we change it or not, because it can barely be enforced. If two players want to play at 90 secs per game, they will...

Remain at 20 seconds, saying its up to the players could cause arguments or friction during the match due to them not agreeing a time limit, one wants 20 secs and the other wants 30, If the players know each other and agree to change it thats between them. as long as it gets played in a friendly manner.

^Agreed, but don't the rules currently say it must be 20 secs? This would mean that technically player's can't agree on a time limit other than 20 secs.

the rules state 20 seconds so do what the rules state afterall thats why they are the rules

not being smart with that either why have rules if you dont follow them

and to be fair if ppl are changing time limits they should be penalised it sends out the wrong message to all players the rules are the rules

pretty much what i said above, it just means if players can agree on a time it should be that time limit but if no one can agree then it will be 20 seconds.

at times they can be friction, i remember in Snooker vs Pool the snooker guys are generally used to longer time limit where pool wasn't and as there was no rule stating what time should be used if no one agreed caused friction.

personally i still think its a win-win situation as you still get 20 seconds if you don't agree with new time.

I agree with that, if this didn't get changed before next Sunday then it will be 20 seconds by default.

for penalty on 1st offense it can be harsh so i will just give the player some advice and give the opponent the discrection if they want to replay the frames not on 20 seconds.

another thing what ties in with that ^ is ranked or friendly, which also if both players agree then it should be that, otherwise friendly.

Me and horse played on 90 seconds last season, got our games played and no one gained an advantage from this, it just meant we had time to have a chat and actually enjoy the game.

To be fair some of the best clan games I have played aswell... To say we should be penalised for agreeing to a time, and getting it played is quite ridiculous.

I don't mind playing 20 second games but would prefer a bit longer as I like to think about the game etc, be ridiculous to say we can't play on a time both players agree on.

^Absolutely agree.
That's why the rule should be slightly changed! We are between seasons, which is a chance to change the rules if they can be improved.

Part a) - Let players choose the time!
Part b) - If they can't agree, the game is played at 20 seconds.

but this idea could get exploited and people could take ages to take ages to take a shot an waste time..

...if something works, why change it?

it does work but a minor improvement, its like i keep saying, IF YOU DONT AGREE IT WILL BE 20 SECONDS.

so its a win-win because if someone like doubted for instance played mich and mich said craig could we do 90 seconds please and he said no then 20 seconds it is.

if mich played horse and both agreed to play 90 seconds then whats the harm in letting them do so?

as at end of day its only people playing in that game room that it affects.

As you saw a few posts ago, people have been playing other time limits the entire time. So it hasn't really worked, because this rule has been broken loads.

How can the idea get exploited? BOTH players have to agree on the time limit. If someone says no, it's 20 seconds.
