What a fantastic update *hat off nick*

I can see why some poeple have a problem with this thou, i for one dont bother with rank games that much and have never been worried if im a pro etc, hence why some people dont like the idea. I made 800 as quick as i can so that i had 'pro' status on my profile! and then didnt move on..

If you play this game enough then your rank should average out, the new update has eliminated the newbie factor from tourn games. Look at all the high tourn win players they are all good players so why should they be concerned in the long run. They win more than they lose!

The only down side i see is for people that like to play in just tourn games and never bother with rank games, they are then punished and cant enter!

I think it's all a matter of your point of view. It's just as easy to say people have been taking things far too seriously up till now, not playing ranked in case they lose (which is taking it about as serious as possible), or drop below 800 etc etc. Now, just play the way you want and your rank will reflect that. No more moaning about people playing above of below their rank, being "fake newbies" or whatever.

Everybody on the same level just having fun

people can still play the "lesser" ranks to keep a high rank but will have to play a lot more games to do it so that aint changed at all spinner

The only people moaning here are the poor players that keep losing ' Joke Blinky'

I agree Spinner at least give this update a chance and see how you feel after a month or two!

If anyone loses all their ranked points playing well and can prove it then im sure Nick will give them a few points back!

It's called funkypool because of the fact it can easily be run on older machines without too much difficulty, no other reasons. So you can't even say that as you're taking the name of the site out of context.

i think nick should create a thread called the meaning of funky and i dont know how many times me and damien has had to explain to people what the word funky actually means.

Do you get points only for semi and final and win, what about quarter finals just curious

Where my pro ranks gone too, was there about 10 mins ago and i havent played in rank tournys or games . Apart from straight tonight .....

I think its a good idea. However, it would be good to see some unranked tournaments aswell
