Doubles friendlies is not so difficult, where first 2 entering the room form the first pair.

Tournaments are very tricky.

Rankings for a pairing also very tricky. Ranking using some kind of team average is possible.

Any sort of doubles implementation would be awesome in my opinion, be it friendlies/rank/tournaments. First 2 entering a room forming a pair wouldn't be all that preferable - I'm sure the vast majority of people who love this idea would be looking to choose their playing partner. I've no idea how difficult it would be to implement any sort of doubles game type, but as a starting point ANY form would be greatly appreciated and welcomed by everyone. Refreshing to see the idea being taken seriously at long last

Thinking out loud here how setting up a doubles team could be done... A player creates a room, and whoever joins may be an opponent; meanwhile, each player can invite someone to join as his/her partner. That's one way it could work.
