he's on holiday & very busy when is is there - with a few problems here and there to sort out when he gets back then his own personal matters still can't see this anytime soon.

I agree with Kirk. Lets keep the discussion going positively with any new ideas or thoughts. It could be the most straightforward simple idea that no one has thought worthy of mentioning yet that could be the missing piece of the jigsaw in how it might ultimately come together.

I remember's Nick's last post on this (page 2 of the thread I think?) where he says that doubles for friendlies would be relatively straight forward to bring in.

Personally I don't think it would matter if Doubles was an add-on option and not an official part of the site in respect of rankings, tournaments etc. It would open up so many new opportunities for private tournaments or for inclusion in clans or other team based matches.

i remember that too chris, im not sure if hes still focusing on premium or not.

double friendlies would be a start, and then maybe the start to multiplayer tournaments and then the killer tournament we are talking about would be possible.

We dont need doubles brought in just for clans,funkypool isnt just about clans-theyre an added extra.

tbh nick's missed the money making jackpot, he wants money so adds dont need to be used.... we want doubles to keep us happy and make site more interesting....

If he was to say premium members only received doubles then im sure loads would subscribe. more insentive for him to put doubles in this way

clan members should also stump up extra not just doubles players.

They are also completely separate to Nick and the FP staff, so the idea that clan players should be forced to pay is stupidly laughable.

I wouldn't like to see only premium members receive doubles-yes it would be an incentive (and bring in more money for Nick), but the site is very much based around free membership and that would be a move away from that, which would be sad especially on something that is so widely wanted.

Maybe if it was brought in for a couple of months on premium only, before then being released to everyone...could have it so that any new game types are like that, so there's a premium trial period, where Nick can get feedback before releasing it on the whole site. If you then implemented 3/6 month premium membership, you would have a lot of people paying for the time that the games are released.

Or game types such as Darts, which has been asked for, could only be for premium members-that way it's smaller things that don't matter too much if you don't have them but still an incentive to get premium.

But yeah, doubles!!!!!

i dont think clans are seperate,they seem to get preferential treatment-look at all the threads clans get on the forum.
