All matches are 2 racks each of 8 & 9 Billiards and 8 Pool (6 in total)

If after each of the three matches have been fully completed the team scores are level, then both Captains will select one player each (from the three that played) to play a one frame sudden death tie-breaker in 8 Billiards.

Deadline for these matches is Midnight (UK) on 25th December.

Fxtures for the Final will be released as soon as the Semi-Finals are over.

just to let the league runners know i chose not to put a team in because this plate cup is exactly the same as the cpl cup is it not.

i didnt mind the qwerty cup as that was different

In a way it is. But like in some proper sporting tournaments, I am guessing the intention is to offer a chance for first round losers (the supposed 'weaker' teams) to have something to play for.

Like all clan 'stuff' though participation is always purely voluntary.

All Week 5 fixtures are now available on the website - including the Cup games which I realise are a day early but one extra day to play them cant be a bad thing

UKPC and WPC tables have also been updated going into the last week of the regular season. Remember the top 2 from each conference qualify for the end of season play-offs.

Just to explain a couple of things even though this league is not mine, none of the rules are mine, and I have only been doing the admin side of it in Chris (cphaynes) absence....

Firstly it wasnt a random way of deciding a Cup game. It has been in the rules on the competition website since it started in October.

Secondly the format and scoring of the CPL had to be original and by definition different to that of the FCL and FPL and therefore cannot be compared to them.

Thirdly the fact that bonus points are awarded for wins regardless of the margin clearly places the emphasis on winning individual games. Therefore I can't see any reason why that should not have been as reasonable a first 'tie breaker' in a drawn game as any other.

And fourthly, to confirm this same first 'tie-breaker' will be used in the Play-Off semi-finals and final starting tomorrow.
