On the 26th of November, the 2nd Round of the Cup & 1st Round of the Plate will take place, the draw for that will be taking place later today (18th)

Due to 5 teams in each competition, which means 1 match in each of the Cup & Plate, 4 teams out of 10 playing is rather boring for the rest!

So............................Let me indroduce......




CPL Qwerty Quick Cup


This is just a bit of fun! Something origanal!


3 groups, 2 groups made up of 3 clans & 1 group of 4!


Each match between Clans, will be 3 Vs. 3.

which will be played 2 of each 8 US, 8 UK, 9 Ball. If there is a tie at the end, an extra game of 8 US will need to take place to find a winner!

The same 3 players can't be used in all games, limited to 1 game, apart from group 3, where your allowed to ues them but not exactly the same line up

e.g

All the games must be played with-in 4 days, 1 Team will progress from each Group, apart from Group 3, where 2 will progress.

So this is from 26/11/10? And to be completed all in one week?

The only problem I can see is the stipulation to rotate through the players. With a tight time scale (which I like) there might need to be a bit more freedom on the line-ups?

Well, a team on average (i've work out) consists of 11/12 players. You can sub players in, but you can't have them play 2 games if there in group 1 or 2!


Yes 26th, same week as the Cup & Plate, and all completed in 10 days.

Semi Finals will have a 3 days limit & Final will have 2 days

It's to basically force captains to play almost all or most of their squad! Not focus on the "best" players.

Not a problem for us

Yeh OK good - as long as there is a little freedom with the subs - then no probs.

The idea of it is to play as "Quick" as possible, it's very "Qwerty" (weird) & it's a cup! Lol!

Why 3 byes?

Why not have 2 clans match and one have a bye?

I don't see the point of the qwerty cup tbh.

3 Byes for a reason mate, if 2 played, then a team would have a bye to the final, I dont see the point in that.


Qwerty Cup is a bit of fun

Think the qwerty cup should be optional then, think that will be much matches for clans who play for 3 leagues in that time frame, but thats only my opinion.

i agree not sure if unbeatables will have the time/players to compete in this "qwerty" cup
