Sorry Kirk - I have to disagree
FPL - First to three in 8UK, 8US, 9US and one straight. FNL - First to two in 8UK, 8US, 9US and one straight
FPL - split into two pools which are seeded as best as possible. FNL - split into two pools which are seeded as best as possible.
FPL - A finals series among the top four teams to establish a Grand Final and place getters. FNL - A finals series among the top four teams to establish a grand final and place getters.
FPL - 6 players with three subs. FNL - 5 players with 4 subs (same size clans as FPL, smaller then the FCL according to the first post of this whole thread).
Very little difference. Very dissapointing and I know that people may be calling me a whinger...but I'm sorry, I have worked my bum off too hard to try and get the FPL going again for this to happen. Is it worth it?
Enough from me on this thread, enjoy the competition.

I think Marco and myself being clan runners have very little knowledge about the FPL having not been here when it was running. I wouldn't want to compromise anyone's position in terms of running a league and I'm sure Marco wouldn't either. I'd be more than willing to help FPL and FNL combine to make one if they were so similar but it's not my call.

tbh - the length of time taking to design the website for the FPL it should really blow both clan leagues out of the water
Well everything was due to be released tomorrow or the next day with the competition starting within two weeks after a release of the draft rules (about swapping players).
Lewis has had the task of building the website and he has been a very busy lad over the last few months - thats why it's been a little slow.

yeah i felt this was too much like FPL too, didn't see the need to join this league when FPL was coming up plus entering my team in too many leagues can be a strain.

Right now im very curious, why didnt captains pick their sides AND how was this seeding done? and why did some teams get more games than others?

Ok one question at a time.
1. 3 weeks for the groups and a further 2 for play-offs
2. We didn't have time to collect team sheets from all captains so had to pick ourselves and hence allowed you to swap and make as many subs as need be.
3. Seeding was done from pre-season games so. Thunder having won both of theirs were number 1, Sharpshooters having won their only friendly were number 2, Untouchables having won one and the other not finishing in time were 3, Golden Eagles losing one and winning one were 4, 5 was Crazy Eights having lost one and the other not complete but scores close, 6 was Cobras losing their only fixture, 7 was Hurricanes with two narrow defeats and lastly was Fugitives and don't think I need to explain that one
4. No teams got more games, I made a mistake of pairing a group A team with a group B team which Marco corrected this morning. The fixtures Crazy Eights vs Golden Eagles and Fugitives vs Thunder are now void and were replaced yb Crazy Eights vs Thunder and Golden Eagles vs Fugitives
Any more questions?

Dont think its fair that thunder got 3 games whereas some clans got 1 and then to base the seeding on matches won instead of frames (e.g. percentage won) for example eagles got one narrow win due to a player deactivating and one big loss whereas hurricanes had two narrow losses, and if it was in a league, would be above eagles because the league is decided on frames
and why couldn't the draw wait a few days for the captains to send lists in, just seems rushed now

Only two of thunders matches counted as elliott agreed to as when fugitives joined they needed a friendly

Well as you know Bulldogs pulled out half way through over a petty sub. We allowed Thunder Hawx Elite and Fugitives into the pre-season set up a couple days in and had to supply additional games for them so that affected the way we did the seedings.
I was under orders from Marco to get the fixtures out last night and you'll have to query the need to do it in such a short time with him

but the fugitives had already started 2 friendlies with thunder, one of them being cut short to start the next, which got completed before the official pre-season friendly
still think that it should have been based on how they would've been if it was the league or an average of frames, now it just been changed to something completely different which coincidently benifits marco's clan
im just saying, im very confused

I don't think I'll be able to explain myself in a way that will reduce your confusion lol

Such a shame Flumps, I'll talk to you in a PM window, and we'll do our best.
We'll see who's more interested in what!
Website was ready for the release tomorrow
At the end of the day, we can't stop people and we can't be stopped so in my view, let's just do it!
