Lenny Henry annoys me so, and I've finally figured out why,
It's been nagging at me for ages now, why I dislike this guy.
I just don't find him funny, with his childish little ways,
And he always seems to creep into the bad bits of my day.

But then there are the adverts, that he does for Premier Inn,
A nice little fine I got from there, as smoking is a sin.
And still there goes Lenny, dressed in his blue night gown,
Putting on that silly voice and acting like a clown.

There is a good side to Lenny though, all round comic relief,
Where he puts his efforts in, to save young kids from grief.
I do believe it's heartfelt, and I do believe he cares,
But I still groan when I see, big Len come down the stairs.

Back in the day he was original, but that stuff has faded out,
And to me it seems Mr Henry, is suffering a drought.
Perhaps he should do voice overs, for little children's shows,
And pass the torch on to someone else, who can wear the big red nose.

Sorry Lenny, I had to get that off my chest mate.

i must admit his time is past,
comedians lifespans don't seem to last,
the Big Yin was the one for me,
I went to see him in Brighton by the sea.

but alas when i think of the one i thought,
was funniest of all and had great shots,
bill hicks i saw on a comedy show,
and with his jokes my mind was blown.

just have a look on you tube guys,
his craic will bring tears to yer eyes,
but sad to say he didn't last long,
as god had dealt him a cancer......so wrong


awesome comedian such a short stay
yet never fails to make me smile each day

don't know if you can read this
am really missin you,
somethings gone and i feel wrong,
i wish i had a clue

so maybe you can tell me,
where it's all gone wrong,
i just need you here beside me,
when you smile i hear yer song.

Been so mixed up lately
Don't know what to do
My head is filled with nonsense
Not so unusual, its true !
Do you ever get those times in life
Where you feel so all alone
When all lifes troubles wear you down
and all you do is moan

I've felt that way lately
Its really not too good
but i know my friends will help me through
And get me out this mood..
That includes my funky pals
On here i have a few
It's good to know they will be here
to lift my spirits too..

So when i feel so low and helpless
and at this computer i sit
i'll remember my friends and a phrase i have learned
And will, indeed "Keep er lit"

Thought id pop in and have my say
for lately iv been miles away ( literally )

On this world id given up
was a lost soul, like a lost pup
Then i found something to put a sparkle in my eyes
i boarded a plane and took to the Sky's.

In my travels iv been to some awesome places
and met many interesting new face's

Been on walks and touched the treetops
Into caves with enormous drops
Swam at spectacular beaches
Even paddled in places with leaches.
Drank cider at countless pubs and
talked to people who eat witchetty grubs.

Now i must go and pack
am back off on the beaten track

Leaving the crowd and into the night
The frost, the cold, the wind in sight
Standing still, hands dug deep
Into my pockets, a taxi would beep.

Her soul had gone, I stood alone
Returning back home with my coat, my phone
The bed I lay, The ceiling I looked
A text I sent, A taxi she booked

What happens next is yet unknown
Apart from the fact I wont be alone
Yet is this poem even so true?
Maybe this poem, was meant for you

Misery
There was a man who made some toast
To sample with his Sunday roast.
The toaster toppled to the ground
And the cord from it pulled down the tray the roast was on and ruined it as well

its been a while since i made a short poem or two
so here i am making one specially for you
your my love of my life
and if anyone hurts you il pull out a knife

erm! nice.

Outside the sun beams, and there's hardly a breeze,
While there's hardly a cloud in the sky.
On a normal day I'd go outside, with relative ease,
But today I shall be stuck inside.

For since last night, when I was fit and well,
We all ventured out for a bite.
My stomach started aching, and began to swell,
And I got next-to-no sleep through the night.

My suit was hung up, my shoes were sat on the stairs,
I had important lessons to teach!
I even shaved this morning, took off the facial hairs,
But work today was just out of my reach.

So now I'm laid in my bed, with the TV on low,
And plenty of fluids at my side.
But I still see the sun beaming through my window,
My disappointment I just cannot hide.

I'm feeling a bit better already I think,
Some time outside is not out of sight!
My face has come back, from pale white through to pink,
So I'll catch some sun before day turns to night.

Im really loving these poems, some seem truely sincere
They are worded perfectly, making them perfectly clear

Im sure i detect some composed, with another person in mind,
Hoping that when they read it, a hidden message they will find

Ive always read between the lines, to a lot of them can relate
I can sometimes feel emotions, of a person who's quite irrate

Im not always correct though, even i can read things wrong
Not that often i must admit, ive been reading here too long

Do you see what i see, on here this wonderful thread?
Do you relate to others, whats going through their head?

They may bear no relevence, so it doesnt really matter
If you understand or not, it could be a place to natter

Post anything you like on here, any day or anytime
A nice long poem, a lill ditty, or even a loving rhyme
