Would mean a draw between Uruguay and Mexico in the last game would see them both through with France and South Africa crashing out.

France will need to thump South Africa to progress with at present, Group A being:

2. Mexico - 4pts - +2

4. South Africa - 1pt -3

Well....first of all i learned early on in this world cup to bet on the draw.

I have to admit england were proper proper rubbish, the scotland team could have beaten them at half pace.

How disinterested did rooney look? Its like, get a grip, turn to your man, dribble past him and score like u do for man u. Jesus

Yeh its a disgrace, look at all the england adverts on the tv and that before the world cup started. Now they all just look silly.

First ever double post!

Most of the players their played poorly

Lampard, someone tell me WHY Capello is playing him, he's done nothing and wasted efforts

Rooney, why is his place a given as well? drop him next game, give him a shock and he'll work to get back in the side

Wright-Phillips, took someone who was actually playing well to put him on, went on the outside got praise for it even though didnt end up with anything and Lennon was critisised for going on the inside because "he'd run into trouble" when some of the best chances for us came from just that

Terry, Played poorly for large spells and if James wasn't alert would've given Algeria an almost certain goal

Cole (ashley), didnt look too great, a few refs decisions helped him out before he had a chance to do something rash

Johnson, started well but at the end of the match (perhaps the team spirit) was awful

Heskey, didn't do much wrong barrign a few mistakes but didnt do much good as well

Gerrard, Played well in parts but was no where near last match

Lennon, played well for most of the game creating a few good chances (subbed for Wright-Phillips - Why?)

Barry, Probably our best player winning possession and converted a few bad passes by Lampard into good opportunities

Carragher, by far our best defender and really showed the others how to defend, had a very good game but a little harsh to be booked

James, Had a good game although shakey at times and did very well in the critical moments

haha why do you think i support Brazil instead of England, been poor for years, only good year they had beside 1966 is 2004 where they should have beat portugal.

Crouch, arguably the best striker we had, played for the last 10 mins or so and looked lively and actually up for the game

Defoe, Came on but could'nt get into the game and didnt make an impact





For me, Crouch and Defoe need to start next game, Drop Rooney and Lampard, Lennon on the right Joe Cole on the left with Gerrard and Barry in the middle

I love all the hype about England in the world cup and then they only get 2 points out of 2 games against opposition which is not as good.

Lets be fair, i was expecting England to get into the quarters at least, but now i doubt they'll make the 2nd round!
