The clan could've by seeing the post a few above their own in the team changes thread saying he was already in cobras

The player could've by knowing he cant play for another clan until the next season

The person updating the team changes could've spotted he had already been in cobras

According to the rules, the player can't be involved in unbeatables for the league until next season - so results involving him shouldn't count

In the other situation - the other player was in the clan and results for them could count - and the outcome has altered the final result of the overall match

The victims here would be the other clan - nutters who have no blame for the incident - but unbeatables and the player could've avoided it

for a clan members 2nd default then penalize. have still to have even 1 myself but if anyone was to have 2 in a single season nail them for it!!

isn't 2 defaults against the same player still punished by them being banned from the league and the season after?

Well, we kinda already have those rules in place.... a player losing his/her 2nd default risk (at the discretion of league hosts) to be banned from the league for basically being unreliable.

Likewise, a clan having too many defaults against them risk the same.

True, all those share the blame I guess, but the main culprit is the staff member who actually enter the team change on the web site imo (in other words me).

And since a league staff is to blame for this incident, we should go as far as possible to avoid this hurting that player - as long as it doesn't hurt others... which it in my opinion doesn't.





Since it's the league staff's fault, then yes he can. Steph's call ultimately, but that's my position anyway.

Your match was handled the only way it could be - and to be perfectly clear: This is the only way such a situation has ever been and will ever be handled in the future.

There's no such thing as "but I had to play over, but they didn't!" here - we have had a single incident of this type and that is you....

The case with sharpshooters' cup game is entirely different since that error was not brought to attention at the time the fixture was played - had it been, it would been handled in precisely the same way.

Surely since it was Steph's game and she was playing fatmike that she would have seen he couldnt play either, as she does check the forums alot.

Its just funny how the situation has arisen when Steph was losing her match with fatmike with a big margin.

If the score was in the favour of nutters,,not one word wud have mentioned about this at all..

Fortunately, this situation about fatmike's transfer to the unbeatables was brought up by Emma well before the match was played. I, and others, had every chance of stopping it had we wanted to, I even watched the game being played live.

Point remains: Fatmike is eligible to play for the Unbeatables until further notice - basically because I made a mistake and we have therefore decided that this mistake should not hurt that player. Nor does it hurt anyone else. Keep in mind that the league staff has the option to supercede any rule and any time we find it necessary. In this case, due to my mess-up in allowing this in the first place, an exception is made - at least for now. And that's the end of that.

Whether or not transfers during season is something we will allow or not in the future is a discussion we can postpone to the end of season, since such rule changes should happen between seasons anyway.


So in conclusion:

1. Fatmike is eligible to play (rule exception being made due to league staff messing up)

2. The rule will be enforced as intended for the rest of the season.

3. Stop trying to compare different situations that have nothing what so ever in common with another.

Again, it was brought up BEFORE the game was played, so the score is irrelevant to this discussion - the discussion would have happened anyway!

Do I also need to point out that this was first brought up by a player having no affiliation with either of the clans involved?
