People can just make an account as a 'spare' incase they deactivate, and then already be eligible when they deactivate
2 month clan league rule therefore encouraging the breaking of site rules to get around it

As for this, its quite ridiculous NOTHING needs to be done
might as well say once you've signed for a clan you can never play for anyone else
If a clan is willing to fold over the loss of a player before it joins the league then it shouln't be allowed in because it would probably have done it mid-season otherwise

well then to make it even more simple new accounts can only join a clan and be eligable for the league pre season

people can make spares 2 months ago just in case

because of the 2 month rule people mite have already made several accounts 2 months ago or when ever the rule came in just in case
or if they never thought of it might now make several as to always get round the 2 month rule in future

honestly jay, i never asked for it im just disscussing what was going on in the thread and used an example of what happened in personal experience, can't keep stay away from an arguement for a day!

I dont see whats wrong with the rules as they stand just now! Can someone explain whats happened to make these rules not viable. Im not asking for theories of what might happen, just something to show whats actually happened to make them untenable?

Well, while you are essentially right, the rule is the closest thing to preventing people from constantly rotating accounts.

Anything can be circumvented, but at least this makes it a little harder, and from experience, most of the people who are spontaneous enough to constantly deactivate and make new accounts are not the people who plan ahead enough for what you describe to really be a problem.

As long as there is no way to positively identify any two accounts belonging to the same person, there's only so many rules we can make.

Never make a rule that cannot be enforced with at least a minimum level of integrity and fairness.

(And we don't encourage people to break site rules - that's just ridiculous. Besides, the funkypool site does absolutely nothing what so ever to establish multiple accounts as a prohibited scenario either, so if people have multiple accounts over time, that's hardly anything the league can be blamed for, nor is it the least surprising)

I dont mean intentionally encourage but it certainly increases with the rule.

A person who knowingly wants to deactivate and make a new account who has made it before because it is clear that is the way to get around it
(for instance anny/_anny_)

she made an account just over 2 months before she deactivated, meaning that at one time she had 2 accounts which is multi-using and it clearly states in the rules that this is prohibited

Take out the 2 month rule, she would have no need to create the second account and would never have broke the rules

its only prohibited if you log in both at same time, nothing wrong with 2 accounts as long as you dont use it to up your rank or play friendlies with yourself.

long as you dont log into both at same time, there shouldn't be a problem really.

but yes i agree with 1 point, with 2 accounts, the 2 month rule can be considered useless as the same person can keep coming back, only thing this rule can do is slow them down.

just polish the rule a bit so that actual new people to the site who join now can play in the league when it starts rather that 2 months if someone wants to join after it starts then the account has to be 2 month old easy
