Ireland is the same with the over panic!!...I swear on my own life they gave warnings not to eat yellow snow......I'm serious!
The reason it's snowing so much is because christian bale blew his top and thats what happens

Since there's barely been any snow where I am this week, it means 5-a-sides are on tonight
Still jealous of those people who got off the whole week....I've never had one day off cause of snow
I'm prepared to bet the football match (Motherwell vs St Mirren) will be off tomorrow though. Even though it's not snowed much, it'll be off cause I want to go to this Away Cup game, and the Well have the WORST pitch the SPL has ever seen

Yeah, I liked the way they used white to represent the snow, whether light or extreme!
This is what I drive now :
Good fun yeah, but I do miss driving the gritters, especially in ploughing conditions. Long days but very rewarding.
The snows started properly up here now (as you can see from the pic), so looks like its gonna be a busy weekend

What do you drive Spinner? I watched a Defender rip up a road the other day, was really funny, the driver was having so much fun!
The light and heavy looks the same on that map legend.......... (or is that the joke lol O.O)

We had one real snowy day this week where I live (Liverpool) and it didn't seem to cause much trouble around where I went during the day - walking needed extra attention though.
It seems to have passed here for now though - the last few days has just been rain, although today was a rather nice day.

I love the fact i got the chance to use my snow button in the car, traction control is also handy in these conditions......now im on my 4 days off i wouldnt mind building a snowman in the garden, its hilarious watching Tyson cross the road to avoid the ones my neighbours have been building!
Does anybody else have a dog who will walk around eating the snow off the ground but growl, bark and generally run away from a pile of snow with a carrot in the middle?

We've always known Uni students are lazy - doesn't mean the rest of us are does it?
I may like to sleep in through the whole day of lectures, but I make sure to attend the pub, be it raining, snowing, sunny, hot, cold...you get the picture
Uni students are merely commited in other ways!
Also with regards to spinner's comment, as the committed students we are in my house, we figured that leaving the heating off will save us all money! Which from these savings we rarely think "oh i've got no food in" although we know we should! So if the power went I wouldn't even notice if I went to bed before it got dark (We got no candles!)
Enjoyed reading through this thread btw
