Gerrard aint played his best in the last 3 seasons to be fair Torres has been out for most the season so he wont be in the running at all! Last 2 seasons our (liverpool) best player has been Mascherano yet he gets no praise.

on the other note....
I have seen the most sickening piece of football ever today between Stoke vs arsenal Aaron Ramsey having his leg snapped in two by Ryan Shawcross i hope the FA sort the banning Harshley on him

I didnt see it during the match, and watching it on youtube i have to agree with Liam - the red was for the injury.
The ref wouldve issued the red straight away otherwise - he only does so after he see the broken leg.

As for it being deliberate, it clearly wasn't. Apart from him being slightly off balance for an arsenal player (cant see who it is) straight away you can see Shawcrosses distress and he goes over to Ramsey - if it was malicious he would've walked straight off.

Ramsey just looked like he was much too fast for Shawcross as he was slightly impeded by the arsenal player.

I think theres been more malicious challenges that have recieved less. (Pienaars challenge on Mascherano where the challenge took off part of his shinpad - lucky not to have a broken leg)

Best wishes to Ramsey though - broken leg is never what you want to see

i'm yet to see this tackle, but from reports it seems pretty bad

i cant have a real opinion on it till i see it with my own eyes

but liam your just sticking up for the team you support, had it been any other club you wouldn't even be interested in posting.

still a broken leg in football is a red card deserved! had it not looked as bad as the ref saw he probably wouldn't have pulled a card out

sticking up for a player who got red card for the injury the player had got not for the tackle

i will also stick up for who i want when i want just too point that out. you havent seen the tackle but sasying im only defending him because i support stoke. it was a 50-50 tackle both went into it.

No a malicious or reckless challenge is a deserved red card, the broken leg wasnt caused by high studs - but both players trying to kick the ball and Ramsey getting there first and not swinging his leg as hard

horrible as it was i wouldn't say it was sickening, the FA should be very harsh on him though

Master, you are talking our your backside. Seriously.

Where is the intent, it's actually back balance from Ramsey, and Shawcross has been unlucky. He was in tears.

And Man City, well Bridge is being a pansy because someone had an affair with his EX. Not while he was in a relationship with her, grow up and shake hands, don't be a Wenger.

Oh and City, Adebayor's tackle on van Persie, that should have seen him banned for more than 3 games, and Vieira on Whelan, disgusting.

was a 50-50 tackle, both went for the ball and unfortunately Ramsey broke his leg, simple, watch the match of the day replay, Shawcross's studs were pointing AWAY from Ramsey and you can clearly see than Shawcross went for the ball and was slightly too late, either way leg-break or no leg-break it was only a yellow card so Master you're clearly wrong mate, get over them dumping you out of the cup mate.

However, my best wishes to Ramsey for a recovery, he's a great prospect for the future and would be one to watch out for when playing for both Arsenal and Wales, I hope it's not career ending and hope he recovers to carry on how he was before the challenge.

as for Shawcross, unlucky to the lad, he was clearly distraught at what happened, wasn't a bad tackle, so I hope no further punishments get put on the lad and tbh, he doesn't deserve the one match ban, but that's how the cookie crumbles.

Warning, video below contains a serious injury. So if you are sickened or anything by nasty injuries, you may not want to view the video below

Unsure whether the leg was broke before Shawcross touched him to be honest, looks like Ramsey's studs may have got stuck in the ground.

A year today, I broke a bone in my thumb, reason was the contact with the ground, no player involved.

So it is a possibility
