It has been a while...

To speak of trust in common terms, is harder than it seems
for once i trusted, was betrayed, now nightmares haunt my dreams
and too hard to explain to you, the way you make me feel
and yet im scared of past mistakes, my heart now turnd to steel.

intended not to take you love for granted as you say
i simply could not bring myself to act another way
though now to late, the past is gone, yet now i finally see
just how much i love you, and what your love ment to me

although you think my love was shared, and not belonged to you
it wasnt so, this other girl, had shared what i'd been through
she took the time, to talk to me, to help me settle score
and with her help, i managed still, to love you all the more

but time has come, and now is gone, and it is far to late
i lost all that was best for me, i chose to hessitate
