confusion rains a blackened past, the future comes around so fast
what once there was, now cannot be, a love alive now dead to me
and so what choices can i make, to greet my mornings as i wake
alive or dead, is all the same, amidst the struggles and the pain
this punishment, though sound it seems, a life now full of broken dreams
to sit in this cold damp dark cell, a vision of my own true hell

the remainder of my natural days, now come and go as if a haze
for life doesnt seem worth the pain, of waking up in here again
now all alone i sit and scrawl, a message here, across the wall
"to those who find themselves in hear, amidst the torment and the fear
remember those of shallow past, who keep you close unto their hearts
dont make the same mistake as me, for true love will set you free"
and with the final words i scribe, my time has come, my time to die
and i depart from hear in vain, and leave behind the twisted pain

now over troubles and the games, my life was taken, i was framed
but they will not believe me found, they lay my vessel in the ground
a grave without a tombstone to see, is all that this place holds for me

Time

Time is but a blessed curse, for some it is a dream
for it can flow like raging river, or trickle like a stream
one things for sure, though time itself, no pity will it lend
from the biginning, through the mid, until your time here ends
as slow as fog, it hazes life, and at the best of times
it seems as though it will not end, the irony of time
and yet when joyful times come forth, it speeds as fast as light
as time sits back, and cackles, while the good times fade from sight

and how to battle time itself, what weapons can be used?
a way to manipulate time, can time be abused?
but no, time is eternal, and will stop for no-ones prayers
for those who wish their life away, time be no friend of theirs.
so make the best of what you have, for time takes it away
before you even blink your eyes, now starts a brand new day
so hold tight to your memories, and keep them close to feel
for truth be told your memories, one thing that time cant steal

Spirit of Memory

the dark and eire night, whispers thoughts into my ear
wish i could up and run away but im frozen with fear
as darkened shadows surround me, and cackle in the night
i take my stance, with sword held firm, i face my foe to fight
as beaded sweat runs down my neck, i whisper silent prayer
and hope that when i die, ill meet my loved ones when im there.

As evil creatures of the night, suround me now in glee
i spin a circle on the spot, and feel their eyes on me
before too long, will come the time, defend myself i must
quick as a thought, a shrieking scream, i parry my enemies thrust.
Now dance with me, death, dance on high, as steel rings through the air
as i try and fight these enemies, for life they do not care
until i feel the violent blow, my breath wrenched from my lungs
i await for the final strike, my death has now begun.

I peek through eyes which i clench tight, into my enemies stare
and i see him, sword raised high, just smiling, standing there
let loose a scream this demon does, blade whistles in the night
till suddenly a bang rings out, im blinded by the light.
and then i see them, friends of past, an army by my side
and in their glory, fear i dont, nor find a place to hide
and grasping my sword, full of zeal, i scream into the night
and slay all of my enemies, with spirits at my side

now breathing heavy, deed is done, for i have tried my best
and spirits will guard over me, protect me as i rest
and yet i think, the strangest thing, of wy my life is saved
not by friends of flesh and blood, but by friends of the grave
thought long and hard i did on this, untill i understood
the meaning to this twist of fate, a reason why we should
when people loved depart this earth, keep them close to your heart
and think about them everyday, you'll never be apart

The Keeper

As memories thus swirl within, of troubles i've been through
from distant past, of troubled times, my thoughts return to you
So where the days, the happy times, we spent together there
you and I, the summer breeze, both young without a care
till with the thunder, lightning came, the dark times came to pass
and you the keeper, left behind, to which the spell was cast

so slow the days, bring trouble forth, a thousand wars apart
to fight for you, eternally, the keeper of my heart
and in your name, to take the life, of shadows wrought with pain
and still i fight, and gove so much, and with so little gain
and though this journy, lonely as, it means so much to me
for i must fight this wretched lot, to make the keeper free
the life i had, though surely sweet, now nothing but a shell
for without you, my Keeper, im living now in hell

and still i fight, for perils take, and leave me but to pray
that we can be together at the dawning of the day
and till this time, i put my whole, into the task at hand
to break the curse, and free her, so with me, my Keeper stands
and if i fall, eternally, in darkness ill await
until such time, she passes on, this sacrafice i make.
and though for me, this could well be, the beginning of the end
given the chance, i would change naught, for you i would defend

my reason just, that life alone, without you, full of pain
and so i fight, until the day, my Keeper comes again
to wallow days away from us, like times we spent before
before the dark, the drumming rain, the fighting and the war
for those who take, what is not theirs, will soon wake up to see
the menace and and rage, that now resides deep within me
and till the day the darkness lifts, ill keep you close at heart
and with the dawning of the day, we'll never be apart

The light in which i travel too, has suddenly gone dark
the yearning feeling i feel too, now deep within my heart
for darkness now surrounds me, as you extinguish the flame
with nothing left to guide me, but the memory of your name
the burning hope i held within, now snuffed out cold and dark
as shadows now return to me, to occupy my heart
the journy that has bought me here, so close, but now is through
as i stand upon your threshold, as my thoughts now turn to you
i close my eyes in whispered prayer, the spirits keep you safe
and take you down the lightened path, in choices that you make.
and as i stand there in the cold, with nothing more to say,
i sadly turn away from you, and slowly walk away.
and as the sun begins to rise, i look back to you
and as the tears brim in my eyes, theres nothing left to do
from now, i walk this earth alone, in shadows, with the pain
for like the candle, my cold heart, will never burn again

The last thing i recall that night, was the sudden shock of pain
swimming in the darkness, wonder if i'll wake again
i float alone, between the worlds, of death and life i stray
and nothing more i care about, at peace it seems, i stay
and as i drift in nothingness, no need to breath or blink
i finally, in peacful bliss, can find the time to think.

The lowest point, in one mans life, a reason for to strive
to find within your memories, a reason to survive.
and as i sit and ponder what, think through the troubled pain
what reason have i to return, to the world of life again?
till suddenly, it dawns on me, like a slap accross my face
the reason i am between these two worlds in the first place.

the rainy day, the muddy road, the dark and dreary skies
and there i stood, and swore an oath, to protect your life it seems
as arrow flew, both straight and true, and sent me to this dream
my heart explodes, as love bursts forth, and casts away the pain
my reason, you, as i must fight, i must return again
for so it seems, love has arrived, and woke me from my sleep,
and reminded me, of my promise, an oath, i yearn to keep.

and then i fall, through darkened path, i feel the rains cold blows
as the smell of muddy earth, returns once to my nose
and just in time, without a thought, no time to use my head
i rise before this enemy, and strike the first man dead
within my eyes, shines the love, a light in darkness, bright
and these foul men, intent on you, must now turn tail or fight
with fierce agression, anger all, i dance within thier blades
to end the threat, i cut them down, as their life fades away

to vanquish both your enemies, and end your blinding fear
for your love shone, as bright as day, and drew me from the night
and took me from the world of death, to bring me back to life
with choices made, and reasons found, for me, there is no end
for if i had to chose once more, i'd make the same again

Last night i lay there thinking
About nights that you werent here
Thoughts they run thru my mind
I must admit i did shed a tear

Some thoughts were really mad ones
Some they made me heave a sigh
Others they left me questioning
And each time i retreated to why

My thoughts were getting deeper
Started crawling around my head
They began to send me crazy
As i layed there upon my bed

There were thoughts of ifs and buts
And thoughts of whens and why
I really tried to shake them away
Because i knew before long i'd cry

Though talking of tears and crying
They were signs of happiness
Knowing what we have both shared
A warm glow does my heart caress

And as the night turned into day
And the birds they began to sing
I only had one thought left with me
Its what the hell is this SOMETHING?
