Could this be an omen?

20 years ago Rangers won 3 in a row. This year Rangers won 3 in a row.
20 years ago a Rangers manager left and the assistant stepped in. Smith in for Souness, this year it's McCoist for Smith.
20 years ago a Rangers striker that used
to play for Celtic left the club. Mo Johnston left. This year Kenny Miller left.
20 years ago Rangers won the League Cup 2-1 AET v Celtic. This year Rangers won the League Cup 2-1 AET v Celtic.
20 years ago Motherwell won the Scottish Cup. This year.........Coincidence??

motherwell will certainly be a different side to the one celtic faced at the weekend and they will certainly fancy their chances after beating celtic 2-0 earlier and if they do manage to win the cup any level headed person could only congratulate them although i honestly cant see them doing it

i think celtic have enough in their team to win the cup if they play to their full potential and i am expecting a 3 or 4 goals to 1 victory but as they say in football......you never know

lets hope it turns out to be a good game to watch regardless of the result , would hate to watch a boring 1-0 game

give me goals galore

Ugh, i can think of nothing worse than a cup final having a result of 4-0 or more.

Hope Motherwell can at least give Celtic problems. They played well against Rangers in the Co-op Semi final. So hopefully they can give it their all.

First of all, I'm sure every non-Celtic supporter wants Motherwell to do well. I know I do

Secondly, not nice saying you hope Airdrie go bust. I'm sure you wouldn't want to see people to be out of a job when they have families to feed and bills and mortgages to pay.

2nd class team playing for the 2nd biggest title.

In all fairness Celtic done well today, Motherwell showed flares of attacking but never really showed up on a whole.

Good news for Dundee Utd though, as they get the Europa place.

Wouldn't necessarily call it 'the back door'. Just the way things turned out elsewhere.

Do Motherwell get a place in Europe also? I get so confused with this sometimes.

No, Motherwell had to win the Scottish Cup to qualify for Europe

thecourier.co.uk said:
Should the Hoops justify their favourites tag and give manager Neil Lennon the victory he craves after such a difficult season, then United will enter the continental competition at the second qualifying round on July 14, with the second leg a week later. Should the Steelmen upset the odds, then they will join Celtic and Hearts to make up Scotland's three Europa League entrants, with the Tannadice men missing out.
