Killie vs Saints...

First half, Killie were superb. The passing was magnificent, expecially when they moved forward. Saints were horrific.

2nd half, the passing Killie turned into the lets boot St Mirren players squad, and yet didn't pick up a single booking. In the highlights there's a shot of Eremenko going two footed straight into Jure Travner. Jure got straight back to his feet...can't help but feel if he wasn't such a professional, a bit of feigning injury could have seen the cards. Effectively, Eremenko should have seen red, but didn't even get a yellow. It summed up the referee's afternoon - I'm not even angry, I burst out laughing when I saw the replay.

Saints were better in the 2nd half, but all they did was hit the post. Only players for pass marks are Kenny McLean (young guy who came on at half time and changed the game) and Travner for his 2nd half performance. Killie, based on their first half showing, definitely deserved the win.

On a side note, a guy from my school (I left in summer) made his debut for St Mirren on the 80th minute. Mark Lamont is the 2nd guy from my school in a year to get this opportunity, after Conor Ramsay (at 16 years old) came on for us 5 times last year. It's amazing standing in the ground, then seeing one of the guys you've regularly played football with coming on

it just goes 2 show how poor rangers are that they get thrashed 3-0 by celtic then celtic lose to motherwell, they were by far the better team.

Rangers, yes they were off the mark last week and Celtic played really well.
Yesterday Celtic were awful and Motherwell took advantage of this. What your really saying is that Motherwell are better than both Old firm just because they beat Celtic who beat Rangers.

In my opinion that is a ridiculous comment.
That's like saying "oh we scored more goals in our match than you did in yours today which makes us better"

That doesn't say anything about Rangers. All it says is that Celtic played really well one week, then really poor the next week. Yes, Rangers didn't turn up for the Old Firm game, but Celtic's performance against Motherwell in no way reflects upon Rangers' form.

Celtic were to stoked over there win against Rangers that they didn't even think about the next game they had, in a way football is like pool anyone can beat anyone, may take them a while to do so but any team is beatable and every team has there bad days. There is no point saying Rangers are rubbish or Celtic is rubbish because everyone know's that when they are on form they can be the deadliest team ever.

As i am a Rangers fan i obviously want Rangers to win the league this season, but anything is possible in football. Celtic's loss to Motherwell just may well tell Celtic that the season is not over yet and just because they beat Rangers that does not mean they are champions yet.

Another thing i dont know if you have noticed but coming to the end of the seasons these past few years Celtic play really bad coming to the end and Rangers bring in the results and the other way about to, it's like some curse they have haha

well seen as the thread is named SPL chat and my post was about the topic, i am doing nothing wrong I know loads about this league...but theres nothing constructive to say about it

Well if you support a team that plays in the SPL (which most posters on here do) then there are plenty of constructive things to talk about. The SPL may not be the greatest of leagues and many people may not like it, but all we are doing is discussing our teams' performances and the overall state of Scottish football. What's so wrong about that?

If you don't like SPL then you can always stop looking at this thread. I have no interest whatsoever in F1 or cricket, so I don't go on they threads and post. It's as simple as that.

Anyway....Scottish Cup replay tonight, Celtic v Rangers Should be another good game. These games are so unpredictable. However, I'm half expecting a Celtic backlash following their shock defeat to Motherwell....Rangers, on the other hand, look to be on a high following two good results against Sporting Lisbon and St Johnstone. I'll stick my neck out and say 2-1 to Rangers
