Hmmm, they are a good side but if Motherwell can put their back into it they can get away with it.
I mean, that's twice they've won from behind in the Europa league, out of 2 games!

East Stirling 3-6 St Mirren
What a game!
Billy Mehmet scores in the 6th, 13th and 17th minutes for an 11 minute hat trick to put us up 3-0. 20 minutes later, the Shire make it 3-3! Mehmet hits a 4th right before half time.
Mehmet and Stephen O'Donnell added two more to finish it 6-3.
A game I really enjoyed. I had never been in terracing before, so it was a new experience. Hurt my legs and back though
Our attack seems to be superb, but our defence looks poor. Hopefully the defence picks up for the season. As for Billy Mehmet - what a player. Five goals speaks for itself.
Here's a video of Mehmet's third goal.

Weir, you're too old, retire!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As for Naismith, there's a reason you're sat on the bench all season you bloody pillock!

Livingston have been relegated to Division 3. There are also rumours they will pull out, leaving a 9 team league.
It must be absolutely horrible for their fans right now.

Looks like Livi are gonna do a Gretna. I think we will see quite a few teams in the UK going under and to be honest it's been coming for a long time. They pay their players far too much and it costs a lot to get into a game these days. If they reduced wages then more clubs would be financially sound and if they reduced ticket prices, more fans might go to the matches.

I miss the first game of the season for Saints (away to Hibs) because I'm in Belgium
On the upper hand, we have three games in 7 days the week after. Dundee United at home, and then away to Ayr (cup) and away to Kilmarnock. The away matches mean great pies and possible wins, and Ayr guarantees a new stadium for me to check out

3 games in a week? At the start of the season? Ouch.

Well, it depends how you put it. Dundee United and Killie are both Saturday games, Ayr is midweek, so it's really just one extra game.
Our only problem is that if we win, we're very unlikely to be seeded for the next round. With 6 teams coming in, it leaves Dundee United, Hibs and Killie. We need two or three of those teams to lose, which wont happen

Some quality goals at the weekend. A good four or five would be worth of winning Goal of the Month.
I thought Forbes for Motherwell was the best. McCulloch, Kyle and Aluko had some cracking goals, and even McGeady scored a pretty good goal.
Yves Ma-Kalamby looks back to his best, after some magnificent errors helped St Mirren score. To manage to miss a backpass, give the ball to an under pressure defender, and then flap at a cross - all in the one move, it takes some beating

Hearts take a 4-0 gubbing with them to face Rangers this weekend at Tynecastle.
Is it just me or has this been the most typical start to a season?

Saints got a good draw at home to Dundee United yesterday. Very happy with that result.
Our next match is on Wednesday away to Ayr United in the League Cup
And Rangers got lucky with the penalty, it wasn't in the box

So typical of Rangers though. I feel that if it had've been any other team - it wouldn't be a penalty.

ytsejam, Celtic would have been given it as well
It was a definite foul, but not in the box.
It was a clear red card. You can't lunge in like that. St Mirren had a red card for a late and hard tackle last week, for a similar challenge.
I've only seen Rangers fans deny it being a red.
