Well, everything done to the website looks excellent. I don't see anything wrong with it at all. I like the auto start, I like the game results being held at the top of the screen, I think everything done is fantastic. However, my only concern is, why does the red table colour not work?

On balance, it's a reputable upgrade

because my opinion is different, does that mean that people have to ignore my question?

Lol mike only Nick would know atm wouldn't he, I presume you'd leave snooker too if that was happening?

Personally, I think the new features are good. Maybe in need of small adjustments to make it look less "taccy" (if thats how you spell it lol)

im not saying i will leave the site, looking for sympathy as many people do.....

im just saying that i feel this has taken the site back a little and im a bit disappointed. Im not having a good day in the real world either so maybe im just frustrated BUT..

this update has frustrated me a bit and i feel like leaving the site and am considering it. If snooker doesnt have it yet, then i can go over there and play and as im not so good at snooker, if the update comes in over there itll give me time to adapt to having 30 seconds to look at someones profile and see if i fancy a game vs them.
Then maybe, i could come back here. But at the minute im just feeling a little break from pool would do me good. I would never delete my account (i think =S), im just a bit demoralised by this update

Every significant change we've added has had a large amount of criticism for the first few days - while people adapt. However this release is much more intuitive, funkypool for new users was often complex. In fact a high proportion of users couldn't start a game.

That said, it shouldn't have drawbacks for current users. The new button placing for game start shouldn't take long to get used to. The 15 pixel loss of table area height is a concern to me - but only for those on older smaller monitors.

madmiketyson, yes, snooker will follow from here. There's no need to repeat the question 3 times.

I just wanted to ask, as I have asked a few times but i'm not sure if anyone realised I asked. Basically, now that the table cloth colour has changed, will the colour of the table on the home page of funkypool, change too?

souljah, nope. It's still a table option, so I'll leave it up there.

EDIT: The additional space at the top was designed to also be used to add features like the additional practice options suggested earlier (which will need controls).

The only thing i dont like is the table and balls seems alot smaller will take some getting used to.

You see the player rating immediately when they enter the room. Anything else you'd like to know, abandoned game % maybe? This can also be shown on player entry.

Maybe have an option... in options, to decide what details you wish to see on a players entry... such as wins/losses, win/loss/abandoned% etc...?

This would solve having to check a users profile for as long.

yeah lets have their entire profile in the game window =S

you know what i mean, if im playing badly then i dont wanna be playing someone, who has got to say, 830 after 101 games with a 90%win ratio and has won 22/23 of their last games....thats just an example though. i could throw lots more examples of why people like me like to have a look first...

I know there is the argument that "oh, you should play anyone otherwise your not really any good" or "if you dont play everyone its not a true reflection on the rankings."

However, this is funkypool and its meant to be fun.......i am fighting a losing battle here trying to make a point that nobody else appears to agree with any more....ill just join in with everyone else
