She hangs around on funkypool
Always looking cooler than cool
A friend and a mate
As I steal her plate
On BC, she's just such a jewel!

I somehow annoy her a bit
And so she calls me a twit (...or something very similar)
But she comes back
I thanks her for that
So Paula please don't ever quit!

I'm writing this poem for you
Just as I said I would do
It took far too long
To admit I was wrong
So now let me have a joke poem or two!

Now there is this lad Bob, who we thought had pimples
But then Meeko said, hang on, NO, they are just dimples
He is chased around BC, by his good mate Mel
And has early morning banter, with his good mate Stell
He logs in quiet early, though its evening out there
Out there being Aussie, where the weather is fair
Someone on here thinks he is one sarcastic sod
But we all think the world, of this wonderful mod
He sits there in chat room, proudly at the top
Watching for nonsense, for which he'll put a stop
Keeps My Paula company, during the day
While I am at work, just slaving away
A good friend to all, we all think he is great
A quiet sort of chap, but a wonderful mate.

When laughter rings throughout the air
to chase away the dark
destroys the shadows and dispare
and creates lights new spark
The look of happyness alone
can make bright somones day
to take flight on the wind that blows
the soul can fly away

The fever catching happiness
that swells throughout a crowd
and turns all people from their gloom
to laugh and cheer aloud.
and even those who are not there
can share in their own glee
you see the smile that spreads their face
when you tell show them these feelings

A universal language
laughter happiness and fun
for it doesnt matter who you are
once the laughter has begun
despite your background race or past
the only thing you need
is to crack a smile and join the fun
and do somone a good deed

While problems always come and go
and some even come back
a smile is as eternal
as time itself, and thats a fact
it isnt hard to crack a smile
and brighten somones day
so show some teeth, give a smile
and chase the dark away

Pondering ways to start this poem
Proves hard for me; I want to tell them
The message I've learned from days flown past;
The message that states: our days won't last.

You'll recall days of feeling so low;
Days when your whole life seems in slow-mo;
Remember the days when you felt alone,
When it was all cast in that sad tone?
When all the little things made no sense
And all day long you just felt so tense,
When love seemed so real and pain unseen,
But tables turned and pain would succeed,
And you fell into that dark crevice
Where doubts roam free and there is no bliss.

But can't you also recall sunny days
With a breezy wind, and Sun's soft rays
Warming your face and screaming your name,
Ushering you outside to play a game,
Just one, I promise, then go inside
To your family's support; they're by your side
Every step of the way, up to this day,
And when you mess up, they're there to say
"Don't worry, you can try again soon.
Things do not last, they change with the moon."

Well, I'm here to tell you differently.
Please listen; I want to make you see
That some things last forever; they do!
But there ARE some things that will pass, too.
Pain is real - I'm not going to lie.
It always hurts you; might make you cry,
Might make the tears stream right down your face,
Might make you scream that you hate this place.
But take heart; pain won't last forever.
You'll take some risks; never say "Never".
They all say that life is far too short,
And they are right - they must be the smart sort.
You'll hit some walls; things will bring you down,
You'll bleed; you'll cry; you'll scream; and you'll frown.
But don't let THAT be the judge of YOU-
It's when you're down that you will pull through.
It's when you're hurt and just want to cry
But instead you'll look up at the sky
And see that living life face-down
Is not a world that's filled with renown.

It's getting close to the week end
More time at home I get to spend
Or go out to the local pub
and eat some food mmm its lovely grub!
and drink a pint or maybe two
and now I've started I'll have a few
I'll stagger home and fall sound asleep
Won't do it again cause it's not cheap!
The hangover these days it seems so much worse
